Deo Tibba Base Trek - 2020

Package Overview

Deo Tibba base at an altitude of 4400 metres near Manali is a fascinating trek that starts from Jobri Nala which is also the starting point for Hampta Pass. Lying at the foot of mighty Deo Tibba Peak at 6010 metres, trek to its base gives a enhanced view of many high altitude peaks around Manali like Jagatsukh, Indrasan among others. A moderate level trek spread over 4 days, it takes us through beautiful flower meadows and views from Marhi campsite are nothing short of magnificent

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Manali to Sethan

  Day one will be a drive to Sethan which is at a height of 2800mts where we would camp for first day to get ourselves acclimatized to the high altitude.
  
  Lunch will be served at the camping site followed by acclimatization hike to Lassi Thatch, snacks will be served in the evening at the camp site. Soup and dinner will be served late in the evening at around 8:30pm

• Day 2 : Sethan to Marhi

  Morning tea would be served at 6:30 AM. Post that, we would try to have brief yoga and muscle relaxing session. Breakfast would be served at 8 AM.
  
  After getting packed lunch, trek starts by 10 AM from Sethan and we would be moving towards Marhi, our campsite for Day 2 and Day 3. Trek is gradual climb for first 3 kms and last 2 kms are moreover flat.
  
  This day presents view of Sorotu peak, and as we move towards east side of Bhrigu region, we would also get a glimpse of Bhrigu top
  
  Enroute, we also get a chance to see blooming flowers of different varieties
  
  Marhi campsite is at an altitude of 3300 metres is above the treeline and we also get to see lower regions of Manali from here. There is a snow fed river too besides the campsite.
  
  Evening snacks would be served at 5 PM, soup at 6 PM and dinner at 8 PM, followed by instructions for next day

• Day 3 : 8 kms trek to Deo Tibba base and 8 kms trek back to Marhi campsite

  It’s the longest day of trek and would start with tea at 6 AM. Breakfast would be served at 7:30 AM and after getting packed lunch, trek would start at 8 AM.
  
  Starting of trek is flat, but after an hour, trail starts to incline gradually till Deo Tibba Base
  
  Final stretch of the trek is walk over glacier at the base. We would also be providing crampons and gaiters to aid walking over ice/snow
  
  After spending an hour at base, we would head towards Marhi which was also our campsite for Day 2
  
  Evening snacks would be served at 5 PM, soup at 6 PM and dinner at 8 PM, followed by instructions for next day

• Day 4 : Marhi to Sethan and 20 kms drive to Manali

  Last day of trek is the easiest as we would be descending the entire route till Jobri Nala through same route as we took on Day 2
  
  Morning tea would be served at 6:30 AM. Post that, we would have stretching sessions. Breakfast would be served at 9AM. After getting packed lunch, trek starts by 10:30 AM from Marhi
  
  We would be reaching Jobri Nala by 3 PM
  
  After final thank you note, everyone would be moved in pre-arranged cabs towards Manali
