Dharamshala, the district headquarters of the Kangra district is a town in Himachal Pradesh of India. It was formerly known as 'Bhagsu' then later changed into 'Dharamshala'. Dharamshala is around 18 Kms from Kangra and is selected as one of the hundred Indian cities to be developed as a "Smart City" under the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's flagship Smart Cities Mission. Dharamshala is also known as the second capital of Himachal Pradesh making the state the third state of India having two capitals after Maharashtra and Jammu and Kashmir. The suburbs of Dharamshala include Bhagsunath, Dharamkot, Naddi, McLeod Ganj, Dari, Ramnagar, etc. The town has an average elevation of about 1,457 m covering an area of almost 8.51 sq. kms. It is divided into two sections namely Lower Dharamshala and Upper Dharamshala. Kotwali Bazaar and the neighboring areas are referred as 'Lower Dharamshala ‘or just 'Dharamshala' and other places like McLeod Ganj and Dharamkot are referred as 'Upper Dharamshala'. The town has a monsoon-influenced, humid sub-tropical climate and its temperature varies from 15° C to 38° C throughout the year. There are lush tea gardens that produce the famous Kangra tea. A variety of tea are produced such as black tea, green tea, white tea, Masala chai and Kashmiri Kahwa. Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Delhi - Dharamshala

  Arrive in Delhi if you are not staying there. Meet our representative who will accompany you in the entire tour. He will drive you to Dharamshala in a luxurious, spacious and an air conditioned car. It takes around 9 hours to reach Dharamshala from Delhi. In the late evening on arrival, check-in to the pre-booked hotel in Dharamshala and have dinner. Stay for the entire night in the hotel.

• Day 2 : Dharamshala Sightseeing

  After an early morning breakfast, visit famous places such as Triund Hill, Dharamkot, Gyuto Monastery, Dal Lake and Naddi Village.
