When travellers talk of heading up to Dharamshala (to see the Dalai Lama…), this is where they mean. Three kilometres north of Dharamshala town (or 10km via the looping bus route), McLeod Ganj is the residence of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and home to a large Tibetan population, including many monks and nuns. McLeod attracts thousands of international visitors each year to volunteer with the Tibetan community, take courses in Buddhism, meditation or yoga, trek in the Dhauladhar mountains, shop for Tibetan crafts, or just hang out and enjoy the low-budget spiritual/alternative vibe and the many good cafes and restaurants dishing up Indo-Italo-Israeli-Tibetan food.
With an interesting mix of travellers, volunteers, maroon-robed monks and nuns, the international dharma crowd and an increasing flow of Indian tourists, you're never far from an interesting conversation here.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival in Dharamshala

  Our representative will receive you from Kangra Airport and drive to Dharamshala (15 KM approx). Welcome to Dharamshala. On this day you will cover Beautiful Tea Gardens, HPCA Stadium, War Memorial, Norbulingka Institute, Gyuto Monastery, Namgyal Monastery. Evening at leisure.

• Day 2 : Mcleodganj Sightseeing

  Next morning drive to Mcleodganj from Dharamshala (10 km approx). You’ll cover St. John Church, Lama Temple, Dalai Lama Residence, Bhagsu Naag Temple, Bhagsu Waterfall, Shiva Café, Talnoo Sun set point and view point of Dhauladhar range, Beautiful Tibetan Market, Dal Lake, Naddi, etc.

• Day 3 : Dalhousie

  Dalhousie has been named after the British Governor - General of the l9th century, Lord Dalhousie. Surrounded by varied vegetation - pines, deodars, oaks and flowering rhododendron. Local sightseeing of Dalhousie includes visit to Panjipulla, SubhashBaoli, Luxmi Narayan Temple, Churches, Kala Top.

• Day 4 : Excursion of Khajjiar

  On this day you will go to Khajjiar. Khajjiar is 24 KM from Dalhousie surrounded by thick Deodar forest. Drive from Dalhousie toKhajjiar is awesome. Excursion of Khajjiar. You can enjoy activities like horse-riding, Paragliding and Zorbing here. Horse riding is a common activity enjoyed in most areas in and around the town.
  Zorbing is a more upcoming sport in the area the huge meadows and valleys here provide an ideal place for the sport. However, one can enjoy zorning here, only during the summer month.

• Day 5 : Drop at Pathankot

  On this day you will move to Pathankot from Dalhousie (83 KM approx.)
