Dhaulagiri Round Trek is one of the most challenging Himalayan crosses of French Pass (5355m), Dhampus Pass (52oom) with terraced rice fields, rugged mountains, bamboo forests and adventure hiking experience in the lifetime. The gigantic mountain range of Dhaulagiri (8167m) which is the 7th highest peak in the world with 15 mountain peaks above 7000 meter is wonderful and picturesque. Dhaulagiri is also popular Himalayan peaks for the expedition where it rises to 7000m over the Kali Gandaki gorge to the south-east in about 30 km of aerial distance.

Kali Gandaki is the dramatic manifestation of two eight thousand meters Himalayan peaks, Annapurna (8091m), and Dhaulagiri (8167m) both standing near the river facing each other over the deep valley. Dhaulagiri literally means ‘white mountain’ which justifies a magnificent peak rising as a massive spirit of ice, snow, and glacier. Trekking around Dhaulagiri is ideal even though one must have the sense of adventure, authoritative capability to deal with unexpected procedures.

Around Dhaulagiri trek begins after driving from Pokhara to Beni Bazaar, hike through terraced fields to Babichaur, Dharapani, Muri and rugged hills of Dovan, Italian Base Camp, and Dhaulagiri Base Camp. You can also make a trip to Dhaulagiri Circuit extending your trekking packages. You will fly from Jomsom to Pokhara after the adventurous cross of Himalayan passes.
