Day 1 : Arrival in Delhi - flight to Leh
You kommenam early morning in the bustling capital of India and take your connecting flight to Leh, the capital of Ladakh. Ladakh is the largest province in the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir. The former Buddhist kingdom located at an altitude of 3,500 m and fascinated by its spectacular, barren mountain peaks and crystal-blue sky.Ladakh is known for its Tibetan Buddhist culture and is therefore also known as Little Tibet. After a breathtaking flight over the mountain ranges of the Himalayas you will be driven to the hotel. You can recover from the long journey to get used to the climate and the height difference is only once. Stroll yet cozy act through the city and let the new impressions on itself.
Day 2 : Leh and its surroundings
The once rich city of Leh lies in the fertile alluvial plain and served as a transit point for the caravans. Thanks to its privileged position on the Silk Road, the place could develop into a prosperous city quickly. After the borders with India in 1950 closed Leh lost its status as a trading city. Around Leh are villages in green oases in a desert landscape. During the next days you will take trips to various monasteries around Leh. Thiksey Monastery Today we say to make getting up early on the way to the grand Thiksey monastery. The location of the monastery is simply indescribable, because it is the most beautiful area in the entire Indus. It dates from the 16th century, is one of the largest monasteries in Ladakh and is famous for its beautiful architecture. Today you have the opportunity in the daily morning puja - Morning Meditation - to be there. You can then visit the rich treasures of murals, Tibetan writings and statues in the plant. After a good breakfast, take a one-hour walk to the village of Shey. Shey Monastery Enjoy this gorgeous walk that takes you on a paved path along the fields and meadows, in the small village of Shey. It is perched picturesquely on a rock high above the Indus, surrounded by nature. Until the 15th century it was the capital of the kings of Ladakh and the palace served as a summer residence. In the area there are a large number of Chorten and a 12 m high golden Buddha statue.
Hemis monastery After visiting Shey you set out on the road to Hemis. Beautifully situated on green hills and surrounded by spectacular mountains, the monastery is located on the banks of the river Indus. The 400 year old center of Rotmützenordens is above the valley floor. A treasure of the temple is the huge embroidered Thanka that is unrolled only every 12 years, the next time 2016 Marvel at the colorful murals, the royal collection of costumes and jewelery, porcelain, weapons and armor.
Day 3 : : Spituk Monastery
Today you will visit the picturesque Spituk monastery. Day 4 : Lamayuru - The lunar landscape (130 km - 5 hrs)
Today you leave the town of Leh and ride for Lamayuru. The pretty little village lies below an unusual natural landscape in an unreal mountain desert and is one of the most impressive villages in Ladakh. Lamayuru Monastery In a bizarre erosion landscape with white rock formations, the fabled Lamayuru monastery or convent Yungdrung is called. The military history of the monastery begins in the 11th century, during the propagation of Buddhist teachings, as the Indian yogi Naropa came to Lamayuru to meditate in a cave here. According to legend, was located on the banks of the present monastery mountain is a holy lake, have to mischief in the evil serpent spirits. Day 5 : Alchi monastery

It is known the monastery for its unique Buddhist art, the colored Holschnitzereien and frescoes as well as the magnificent murals that reflect the former culture of the kingdom of Kashmir. Rizong Monastery This afternoon you will visit the fascinating Rizong monastery, which is situated on a steep rock. It was built in 1831 and belongs to the Yellow Hat north and is completely far away from the villages and the social life.
Day 6 : Relaxation in Leh
Alchi After breakfast you leave and drive back to Leh. Here you can use the free day. You can relax or explore the city again and so slowly prepare for your journey home.
Day 7 : Flight to Delhi
Today ends an exciting journey through the world of the monasteries in the Himalayas unreal. You leave Leh and fly back to Delhi. After transfer and check-in, the rest of the day for their own discoveries available.
Day 8 : Delhi
On your last day in India, you will take a detailed tour of the bustling capital.
Day 9 : Namaste India
with fascinating memories as it is now called to say goodbye. You will be driven in due time to the airport of Delhi to enter your home.
