The journey to the tip of Borneo is long but there are many interesting places to see within the 3 hour ride to Sabah’s north. First, the Matunggang village where you can watch the process of gong making and understand how different sizes gongs produce different sounds. Following that is the Honey Bee Farm at Gombizou Village and then the Bavanggazo Rungus Longhouse to experience a bit of longhouse and communal living as well as buy some souvenirs like hand woven necklaces and bracelets or cloth. After lunch, the journey proceeds to the ‘Tip of Borneo' where the South China Sea meets Sulu Sea and the waters crystal clear reflecting the beautiful sunset.
