Departure from the pier to have a panoramic tour of the peninsula.
Your first stop will be Gumusluk: This peaceful fishermen’s village is 20 kms from Bodrum and located on the western end of the peninsula. The region is a protected historical site. The long and windy road from Bodrum takes to Gümüslük in only 30 minutes. As you pass by Peksimet valley and come to the hill of the windmills, the panorama is a perfect combination of blue and green. Following the narrow road, you pass by white houses in numerous tones of green citrus gardens and as you reach the seaside the small bay will embrace you like the fishing boats and yachts anchored here you will feel safe in this natural harbor.
Myndos was founded by King Mausolos the Emperor of Halicarnassos, ruins lie partly under the sea and under the ground, buried after many earthquakes took place centuries ago. The site has churches, cisterns, graves and wells.
The other stop will be Türkbükü and Gölköy. We will mention these two fishing villages in one, because they are located on the south and west points of the same bay. These delightful spots are the favorite retreats of many well-known Turkish artists, actors and entertainers who enliven the many small bars and restaurants at night. This summer attraction village has also some of the most trendy beach clubs in Turkey. Before returning to the pier, you will have a drink at one of the best boutique hotels in Golturkbuku.
