Island Peak Climbing is not so difficult job. Island peak (6,189m/20,305ft) is one of the main climbing peaks of the Everest Area. The mountain was named "Island Peak" in 1952 AD due to its striking location in the middle of the Chhukung valley, like an Island on a sea of ice. It was renamed "Imje Tse" in the early '80s, though its original name is still more popular. Climbing Island Peak is well within the reach of any fit and determined trekkers as it is not a technical, though demanding snow climb.

The professionally designed Island peak climbing itinerary takes you to the acclimatization hike to the most popular trekking destination of Everest Base camp and Kala Pathar first for the close up views of Everest before scaling the peak. Your historical effort to summit the peak will be rewarded with probably one of the best panoramic views in the world as you feel Lhotse, Nuptse, Baruntse, Ama Dablam and Makalu are almost touching the tip of your nose. Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival at Kathmandu

  As soon as you disembark in Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu, you will be received by the representative from Actual Adventure (P) Ltd. About half an hour drive through the bustling streets of Kathmandu will convey you to the hotel. A brief explanation of the itinerary package will be followed by the welcome dinner which will be served in your honor.

• Day 2 : Kathmandu

  After having breakfast we will sight-seeing around Kathmandu valley which includes the Hindu temple, Pashupatinath & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath and visit Patan city of fine arts and finally back to hotel. Overnight in hotel

• Day 3 : Fly to Lukla (2,800m/9,184ft) then trek to Phakding (2,652m/8,700ft)

  After breakfast, we will take an early morning flight to Tenzing-Hillary Airport at Lukla. Upon our arrival at Lukla, we begin our trek through the village of Lukla until we reach to Phakding which will take about 3-4 hours. Overnight in Phakding

• Day 4 : Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft)

  After breakfast we will began our short trip from Phakding to namche bazaar which is also the gateway to the top of the world, Mt.Everest(8848m).It will take about 5-6 hours approximately . Overnight at lodge

• Day 5 : Acclimatization Namche Bazaar (3,440 m/11,283 ft)

  We will spend our day in Namche bazaar for acclimatization purpose. After resting in the morning you will hike to the syanboche for lunch from where you will have a first heart touching view of Mt Everest. Overnight in lodge

• Day 6 : Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m/12,694ft)

  After a walk of about 5 hours we will reach in Tengboche which holds the largest Monastery in entire Khumbu Region. While trekking we will get chance to have panorama view of Himalayas Kwongde (6187m) Tawache(6542m) Everest (8848m) Nuptse (7855m) Lhotse (8618m) Amadablam (6856m) Thamserku (6608m). Overnight in Tengboche

• Day 7 : Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m/14,300 ft): 5-6 hours

  We are the seventh day of Island Island peak climbing EBC trekking. We will start our trek after having breakfast. Today we will trek about 5-6 hours from Tengboche to Dingboche. On the way we will visit the Pangboche monastery. Dingboche is a popular stop for trekkers and climbers headed to Mount Everest, Ama Dablam or Imja Tse. Overnight in Dingboche

• Day 8 : Dingboche to Lobuche (4940 m/16,207 ft): 5-6 hours

  We start the day with pleasant view of mountains. After breakfast we will trek from Dingboche to lobuche which will take about 5-6 hours. Overnight in Lobuche

• Day 9 : Lobuche to Everest Base Camp (5364m/17,594ft) and back to Gorak Shep (5170 m/16,961ft)

  After breakfast we will trek fom Lobuche to Everest Base Camp. Nuptse, Khumbuste and Pumori are the mountains we can view from the base camp. And finally we will trek back to Gorak Shep for a dinner and sleep. Today we will wak about 7-8 hours approximately. Overnight in Gorak Shep

• Day 10 : Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5545m/18,192ft] and back to Lobuche (4940m/16,207ft)

  Early in the morning, we will begin our trek by walking to Kalapatthar where we will take our first stop. From Kala Patthar, we will follow the rocky path proceed to Lobuche which will take about 7-8 hours. Overnight in Lobuche

• Day 11 : Lobuche to Lobuche Base Camp (4,950m/ 16240ft)

  1-2 hours After breakfast from Lobuche, we trek towards Lobuche base camp which will take about 1-2 hours. Then we will take rest for next day. Overnight in Lobuche base camp

• Day 12 : Lobuche Base Camp to High Camp (5,400m/17,712ft)

  From Lobuche Base Camp, we continue our trek on a rocky moraine path to reach the High Camp which will take approximetly 3-4 hours. After reaching in the High Camp, we set up our camp, take lunch and rest. Overnight in Lobuche East High Camp

• Day 13 : Lobuche High Camp to Summit (6119m/20,070 ft) and back to High Camp: 8-10 hours

  Then after having breakfast early in morning we will move towards summit. From the summit, you get to enjoy magnificent views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Cholatse, Pumori, and many more. We spend some time at the summit celebrating and taking pictures, then we will get back to the High Camp again. Overnight in High camp

• Day 14 : Lobuche High Camp to Chhukung (4,730m/15,518ft)

  6-7 hours After breakfast, we will trek from Lobuche high camp to Chhukung, Chhukung is the point of departure of Island Peak base camp which also offers great views of Lhotse, Nuptse and AmaDablam. Overnight in Chhukung

• Day 15 : Rest day in Chhukung

  In this day we will take rest, we will be too tired to attempt Island Peak immediately. However, if we prefer to be busy then we can visit nearby places as well. Overnight in Chhukung

• Day 16 : Chhukung to Island Peak Base camp (5,200m/17,060ft)

  3-4 hours After breakfast, we will walk for 3-4 hours from Chhukung to island basecamp trek. Overnight at Island Peak Base Camp

• Day 17 : Island Peak Base Camp to Summit and back to Base Camp

  10-12 hours Then after having breakfast early in morning we will move towards summit. We spend some time at the summit celebrating and taking pictures, then we will get back to the Base Camp again. Overnight at Base camp

• Day 18 : Island Peak Base Camp to Pangboche (3,985m/13,074ft)

  5-6 hours Then we will trek down from Island Peak Base Camp to Pangboche which will take about 5-6 hrs approximately. Today’s walk will be a much easier as we descend to the lower altitudes. Overnight at Pangboche

• Day 19 : Pangboche to Namche Bazaar

  4-5 hours Then we will trek down from Pangboche to Namche Bazaar which will take about 4-5 hrs approximately. Overnight in Namche Bazaar

• Day 20 : Namche Bazaar to Lukla

  6-7 hours The trek continues further downhill as we reach Lukla after almost 6-7 hours of trek. We will be staying in Lukla for the rest of the day and prepare ourselves to board a flight back to Kathmandu the next day. Overnight in Lukla

• Day 21 : Fly to Kathmandu

  Fly back to Kathmandu in the morning and transfer to the hotel. The day is free for you to explore the city on your own. Overnight in Kathmandu Day 22: Final Departure
  Our staff will assist in your last moment preparation. You will then be taken back to Tribhuvan International Airport. You will then board a flight which will take you to your next destination. We would like to see you again soon in future. Safe Journey!!!
