Thekkady is placed at an altitude of 700m above the sea level. Located in the Idukki district of Kerala, Thekkady is a perfect retreat for anyone who loves adventure, fun, wildlife and nature. Nestled between the ever-green and semi-evergreen forests of Western Ghats, Thekkady has so many things to offer for the tourists who visit this place. In the biggest wildlife sanctuary, you can sight Asian elephants, bison, sambar deer, boars, tigers, leopards, wild squirrels, lion tailed monkeys etc.
Ferry boats are arranged by the Kerala Tourism Development Corporation and you can enjoy the wildlife and the surrounding nature while having a ride through the river. The nearest town to Thekkady is Kumily, which is 4 kilometre apart. You can plan a calm walk though this town. This town is also a place for shopping. You can shop here handicrafts, spices and cloths. Thekkady is considered as a heaven for natural spices such as black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon,nutmeg, nutmace, ginger, and clove .
Nearest Railway Station & Airport from Thekkady is located about 257 km (160 mi) from Trivandrum, 114 km from Madurai City and Madurai Airport, 145 km from Cochin International Airport and 114 km from Kottayam railway station. Thekkady is located near to Kerala-Tamil Nadu border.
Periyar :- Periyar National Park lies in the middle of a mountainous area of the cardamom hills. The Periyar and Pamba Rivers originate in the forests of the reserve. The sanctuary surrounds Periyar Lake, The reservoir and the Periyar River meander around the contours of the wooded hills, providing a permanent source of water for the local wildlife.
Periyar National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary (PNP) is a protected area in the districts of Idukki and Pathanamthitta in Kerala, India. It is notable as an elephant reserve and a tiger reserve. The park is often called the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary or Thekkady.The park is made up of tropical evergreen and moist deciduous forests, grasslands, stands of eucalyptus, and lake and river ecosystems. The park is surrounded by agricultural regions, especially plantations of such crops as tea, cardamom, and coffee.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Check-in The Farmhouse

Check-in the farm house around 1200 hrs, Fresh up at the farm house have your lunch here and in the afternoon go for some local sightseeing in Thekkady at your own. In the evening come to the farm house for night stay, and have your dinner at the farm house.

Day 2 : Guided Farm House Visit & Bullock Cart Ride

Early morning get up have your breakfast at the farm house and start your farm house tour with our guide, enjoy the bullock cart ride and visit to organic farm. Return back to the rooms in the afternoon for the lunch take a short rest here, in evening walk through the nearby areas of village, and return back to the farmhouse for comfortable night stay.

Day 3 : Visit To Periyar Lake And Periyar National Park At Your Own

Get up early morning have your breakfast, after breakfast further proceed to some local sightseeing at Periyar Lake at your own. Come back to the farmhouse in the evening for the night stay here, have your dinner at the farmhouse and spend a comfortable night.

Day 4 : Check-out Farm House

Get up early in the morning pack up your bags and have your breakfast at the Farmhouse and after breakfast further proceed to Madurai at your own with lots of sweet memories.

The package can’t be booked for a single person; it is for two adults only.

Refund on cancellation depends upon the concerned hotel’s cancellation policies.

Per person rates (in Rs.), and applicable on 2 persons staying together sharing the same room.

The above package is not valid during the festival season, national holidays, long weekends, and New Year.

Package rates are subject to change without prior notice. However the new package rates would be conveyed to the guest depending on the availability in the hotels.

One Child between 0 to 4 years is complimentary (without bed) after that each child between 0 to 4 years 50% of per person package cost without extra bed, child between 4 To 12 years will be charged 70% of the per person package cost with extra bed ( mattress ) sharing the same room with parents, beyond 12 years 100% per person package cost will be charged with extra bed (mattress) sharing the same room with parents and we request our guest to declare the actual age of the child at the time booking.
