Narkanda is a town and a nagar panchayat in Kumarsain subdivision of Shimla district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is at an elevation of 2708 meters on the Hindustan-Tibet Road in Himachal Pradesh, India within a fir forest. It is about 60 km away from Shimla and surrounded by the Himalayan Range.Sangla is a town in the Baspa Valley, also referred to as the Sangla valley, in the Kinnaur District of Himachal Pradesh, India, close to the Tibetan border. Kalpa is a small village in the Sutlej river valley, above Reckong Peo in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, Northern India, in the Indian Himalaya. Inhabited by Kinnauri people and known for its apple orchards. Apples are a major cash-crop for the region.Tabo is a small town in the Lahaul and Spiti district on the banks of the Spiti River in Himachal Pradesh, India. The town lies on the road between Rekong Peo and Kaza, the sub-divisional headquarters of Spiti. The town surrounds a Buddhist monastery which, according to legend, is said to be over a thousand years old.Kaza also spelled Kaze, Karze, Karzey, is a town and the subdivisional headquarters of the remote Spiti Valley in the western Himalayas in the Lahaul and Spiti district of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.Tso Chigma or Chandra Taal, or Chandra Tal is a lake in the Lahaul part of the Lahul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh. Chandra Taal is near the source of the Chandra River. Despite the rugged and inhospitable surroundings, it is in a protected niche with some flowers and wildlife in summer.Manali is the most popular hill stations in Himachal, Manali offers the most magnificent views of the Pir Panjal and the Dhauladhar ranges covered with snow for most parts of the year. Manali has evolved to be a place loved by young people looking for longer stays for workation. With ambient cafes, good wifi availability, small eateries and convenient shops, Old Manali is among the favorite neighbourhood for such people. There are many homestays and hostels offering dorm beds for cheap for longer durations. Manali has many trekking options around it, making it a great base for exploring this side of Himalayas. River Beas provides great rafting options in the nearby town of Kullu. Adjoining Parvati river, lies the Parvati Valley with Kasol, Manikaran, Tosh and small villages attracting travellers for longer stays.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Chandigarh - Narkanda

  After you arrive at the Chandigarh Airport or Railway Station, our representative will drive you to Narkanda (8 hours). The journey begins here and you get to visit some beautiful villages along the way such as Fagu, Theog, Matiana, Narkanda, and the Apple orchards around the region. Upon reaching, check into your hotel in Narkanda and overnight stay at hotel

• Day 2 : Narkanda-Sangla

  After breakfast, drive for Sangla.Visit Sainj, Rampur, Jeori and Wangtu bridge en route to Sangla.Check in to the hotel post-arrival .Visit the Kamru fort if time permits.Overnight stay and dinner at the hotel.

• Day 3 : Sangla - Chitkul - Sangla (40 kilometers in approximately 3 hours)

  After breakfast, explore the vicinity around including an ancient Kamru Fort & Temple dedicated to the Goddess Kamakhya Devi which was brought from Assam. After lunch, leave for an excursion to Chitkul the last Village on old Indo-Tibetan trade route. Walk through the green orchards, by a brilliant stream. As the day falls, return to your hotel in Sangla for dinner and overnight stay.

• Day 4 : Sangla - Kalpa (49 kilometers in approximately 4 hours)

  After breakfast this morning, check-out from your hotel and drive to Kalpa. 2670 meters above the sea level, Kalpa is the district headquarter of Kinnaur and was once the favorite getaway of Lord Dalhousie. On reaching Kalpa, check-in to your Hotel. Once known as Chini, little has changed in Kalpa in the last 500 years. Legend has it that when Lord Dalhousie wanted to take a break from his hectic schedule in Shimla, he would come here on his Horseback. By the side of Kalpa is a 79-foot rock formation that resembles a Shivling that changes the colour as the day passes and is visible to the naked eye on a clear day. After lunch, rest in your hotel for a while. In the evening, visit the Buddhist Gompa - Hu Bu Lan Kar. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

• Day 5 : Kalpa Sightseeing

  Early morning, enjoy the Sunrise over Kinner Kailash Peaks. Kalpa is famous for its apples & chilgoza plantations. The tree belongs to the Pine Family & the fruit is in about an inch long, in soft cover. After breakfast, visit the local School & Narayan Nagini Temple Complex, which has Shrines of Hindu, Buddhist and local Deities. After lunch, go for an excursion trip to Roghi Village to get closer to the ‘Pahari’ way of Life as you mingle with the locals. Later return to your hotel in Kalpa for dinner and overnight stay.

• Day 6 : Kalpa to Tabo

  Morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Tabo. On the way visit Nako. Nako has a beautiful lake which freezes in the winter and villagers play ice hockey during this period and seeing the temple of Padamsambhava, the second incarnation of lord Buddha who made Buddhism popular in the Trans Himalayas. The day has a surprise where a visit to the village of 5oo years old mummy makes your journey and exciting. Later drive to Tabo. Overnight stay at Camp near village.

• Day 7 : Tabo to Kaza: (106 km/4 hours) 3600m

  After breakfast journey starts to witness the Ajanta of Himalayas the Tabo monastery. Tabo has the oldest caves on barren mountains and Thanka paintings, one of the most precious paintings of Buddhism. Overnight stay at hotel.

• Day 8 : Kaza

  After breakfast excursion to Kee monastery and Kibber village at an altitude of 4205M.After lunch a drive to the highest motorable roar Langza and enroute visiting the Comik and Hikim village. Overnight stay at hotel.

• Day 9 : Kaza - Chandratal

  After breakfast check out from Hotel and drive to Chandartal. Visit Chandartal Lake and overnight stay at camp.

• Day 10 : Chandratal – Manali

  After breakfast check out from Hotel and drive from Chandartal to Manali. Evening free for Shopping. Transfer to Hotel.Overnight at Hotel.
