  You shall be picked up from Izmir airport, Izmir Hotel, Izmir Marina or Izmir cruise ship port. Catherina Emmerich (1775-1824) was an invalid German nun who had never visited Ephesus but was able to describe in great detail the house and its situation which she had seen in a vision. It is believed that St.John brought Mary (the mother of Jesus) to Ephesus sometime between AD 37-48 and she spent her last years of her life there.
  
  After that we will continue to Ancient City of Ephesus to see one of the most spectacular excavations in the world where you will have the chance to see the Odeon, The Fountain of Trajan, the stream baths of Scholastika, the Temple of Hadrian, the Grand Theater and impressive library of Ephesuswhich is adorned with columns and statues. The Grand Theater was where Saint Paul preached and is believed to be the largest outdoor theater in the ancient world with a capacity of 24,000 seats.The last and perhaps the most important site in Selcuk is the great Temple of Artemis (Diana) and is infact one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The Ephesus Artemis was a goddess of fertility and was often pictured as draped with eggs or multiple breasts, symbols of fertility, from her waist to her shoulders. After you have taken in the sights your Ephesus Tour guide will give you approx one hour free time to stroll at your leisure or relax have some refreshments in the cafeteria, When the tour has finished your Ephesus Tour guide will return you to your pick up point.
