Package Overview

Everest Base Camp Trek takes you to Sagarmatha National park where Namche Bazaar, viewpoint of Kalapathar and the Everest Base Camp itself lies. We will be visiting many monasteries, out of which is Tenboche monastery; highest monastery in the Khumbu region of Nepal. We will also come close to four of the world’s tallest peaks: Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, and Cho-Oyu.

Those who are staying for limited time and wants to visit Himalaya area of Nepal, this is the right package for them. 14 days Everest Base Camp trek can be completed by hikers who are physically fit, in good health, and have a little experience with high altitude walks can sign up for this trip.
Day 01 – Arrival in Kathmandu (1440m)

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1440m)

  Look for your name card, as you land Tribhuwan International Airport. In the afternoon, there will be briefing about the itinerary with welcome drink hosted by 8eyes Travel. You will also be introduces your trek leader and team members. You can ask anything about trip and trek leader. For dinner you will be served Nepali cuisine which will introduce you the Nepal’s food culture.
• Day 2 : Kathmandu-Lukla-Pakhding

  In 2nd day, we will be taking an early morning flight to Lukla. Enjoy the most beautiful air routes in the world surrounded by high mountainous peak. After staying for awhile in Lukla, our trek begins. We meet our other crew member and begin packing and arranging with them. After gradually descending, we reach Pakhding in approx. 3 hrs. Overnight stay at Pakhding
• Day 3 : Pakhding-Namche

  Next day, we will follow the trail north up the valley of Benkar. After crossing Dudh Koshi River and passing Chumoa to Monjo, we will reach the entrance to Everest National Park. We will continue our walk to Jorsale village and walk alongside of the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi River. After a steep descent, we will reach Namche Bazaar “Land of Sherpa”. If the weather is clear, you will be able to see Mt.Everest and Mt. Lhotse. Overnight stay at Namche Bazaar
• Day 4 : Namche Bazaar

  Day 4 will spend on acclimatizing Namche Bazaar. If you are interested, then you can hike to Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park to see the sunrise view and view Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde and so on. If you want to hike to Khumjung village (12,401ft), a beautiful village with a Sherpa settlement, then you can. During our stay in Namche Bazaar, we will observe traditional Sherpa life and enjoy flora and fauna found at such altitude. Overnight stay at Namche Bazaar
• Day 5 : Namche-Tengboche

  Today we will descent to the Dudh Koshi River along the rhododendron forests to Tengboche. During our trek, we will be able to enjoy the views of mountain tops like Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde and so on. When we reach Tengboche, we will visit Tengboche monastery-the largest monastery in the region. Overnight in Tengboche
• Day 6 : Tengboche-Dingboche

  On day, we will be trekking through forests filled with a variety of lush trees – birch, conifers and rhododendron. We will cross the Imja River and reach Pangboche. The upper Pangboche trail will take us to Imja valley, Lobuche River and Dingboche. At Dingboche, we can see a array of beautiful fields enclosed by stone walls to protect vegetables and animals from cold winds. Overnight at Dingboche
• Day 7 : Dingboche

  At Dingboche, we can find stone walls protecting vegetables like barley, buckwheat and potatoes from cold winds and grazing animals. We will be spending day 7 at Dingboche for acclimatization. You can choose day hikes to either Nagarjun Hill or Chukkhung valley. Overnight stay at Dingboche
• Day 8 : Dingboche-Lobuche

  Our day 8 will begin with a gradual climb to Dulgha and ultimately reaching Lobuche. We will continue walking along the trail and reach Khumbu Glacier moraine and find ourselves facing several great peaks - Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori and Mahalangur Himal. The trail then eases off as we follow the valley to Lobuche. Overnight stay at Lobuche
• Day 9 : Lobuche-Gorak Shep

  We will be visiting Everest Base Camp through the Gorak Shep Lake. The path from here can be misleading, so it’s important that you follow instruction of our lead Sherpa diligently. The walk can be difficult due to thin air in the high altitude. Upon reaching the Everest Base Camp, we can see tents of mountaineers that stand out in bright colors against the monotony of gray surroundings (especially in the spring). We can view the mountain like Nuptse, Khumbuste and Pumori. We will get back to Gorak Shep for night.
  
  However, we recommend you to visit Kala Patthar. The sunset view is more admirable than the sunrise view from Kala Patthar. Therefore, for those trekkers who wish to continue to Kala Patthar today instead of the next day please inform your guide and he/she will coordinate accordingly.
• Day 10 : Gorak Shep-Pheriche

  In the early morning, we head off for hike to Kala Patthar. It is upon reaching Kala Patthar that we get to see360 degree up-close and formidable views of Mt. Everest. Take pictures and enjoy the magnificent panorama view of mountains and then return back to Pheriche for nightstay
  
  Those members who will visit Everest Base Camp today will have an early breakfast to start hike to Everest Base Camp as it takes longer than hike to Kala Patthar. After returning to Gorak Shep, both the groups will have lunch together; afternoon time is taken to descend down to Pheriche for night.
• Day 11 : Pheriche-Namche

  On day 11, we will be trekking down through the hillside filled with rhododendron and juniper trees. The path eventually reaches Sansa from where we can see Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Nuptse mountains. After crossing the forest, we will reach Namche Bazaar. Overnight stay at Namche Bazaar
• Day 12 : Namche-Lukla

  On day 12, we will be trekking the trail that is very steep. So, be cautious while walking. After crossing the suspension bridges flowing over Dudh Koshi and its tributaries, the trail becomes more level and natural. We will reach Lukla after 6 hrs of long walk. Overnight at Lukla
• Day 13 : Lukla-Kathmandu

  We will catch an early morning flight to Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu, we can arrange sightseeing tour if you want too. Or you can do some souvenir shopping. There will be farewell dinner in the evening to celebrate the successful completion of our trek. Overnight in Kathmandu
• Day 14 : Departure

  Your treks come to an end today! A representative from 8eyes will transfer you to the airport, approximately 3 hrs before scheduled flight.
