Day 1 : Delhi to Kathmandu (4,585 Feet) (1hour 40mins) to Thamel (20mins Drive)
Take the Flight from Delhi to Kathmandu Which Generally Takes An Hour and 40mins to Land At the Tribhuvan International Airport – Kathmandu. from Here We Get Into the Taxis for a 15 to 20mins Drive to Thamel. We Spend the Night Here in Thamel and Get Introduced to the Team Followed with a Few Discussions About Our Trek.
Day 2 : Stay in Thamel to Sort Out Permits and Permissions
We Spend a Day Here in Thamel to Take the Relevant Permits and Permissions for the Trek. We Need to Ensure Proper Paperwork for Each of Us as Nepal is Very Strict Into These Formalities. After These Formalities are Dealt with We have a Team Briefing in Which the Route and Entire Trek Schedule Will Be Shared with Everyone. We also Get Along with the Team Mates Knowing Each and Every One of Us.
we also have a Check On Each and Every One of Our Team Members Health. this Helps Us in the Overall Well Being of the Entire Team.
Day 3 : Thamel to Kathmandu to Lukla (9,250 feet) (25mins flight time) to Phakding (8,700 feet) (8kms/ 5hour
Today we drive back to Kathmandu airport and take the first flight to Tenzing-Hillary airport – Lukla. Landing in Lukla airport is an adventure in itself. Sit on the left side seats of the aircraft to enjoy the best views of the Himalayas. Due to unpredicted weather conditions, we need to ensure to take the first flight to Lukla.
After this short flight, we have a 5hours trek of about 8 kms to reach Phakding. Our trek for today is mostly a gradual descending through a small forest trail followed by the local villages. These villages are surrounded with a lot of vegetation. We walk by many boulders that are carved with Budhist prayers. We reach our destination for today followed up with some cool down stretches.
Day 4 : Phakding to Namche bazaar (9kms/ 7 – 8hours) (8,700 feet – 11,300 feet)
Today's Trek Will Give Us Feel of Doing a Difficult Level Trek. We Cross a Suspension Bridge with Gradual Downhill and Uphill Climbs At the Start. We Will Be Trekking Mostly Through the Forests this Day. We Reach the Monjo Village After About 3 Hours of Trekking and Enter the 'sagarmatha National Park (unesco World Heritage Site)'. Another 3 to 4kms of a Steep Climb Through the Forests and We Reach the Picturesque Bridge Right Over the Dudh-kosi River. We Spot Peaks like the Kangde Ri (19,700 Feet) and Thamsekru (22,020 Feet) Along with the Might Everest (28,980 Feet) for the First Time. Both Kangde Ri and Thamsekry are Hard Technical Climbing Peaks.
Day 5 : Namche Bazaar acclimatization day
We Need to Give Ourselves a Day to Acclimatize Here At Namche Bazaar as We are At An Altitude of 11,300 Feet Already, and We Need to Go Further Up to 17,600 Feet On Our Trek. We Take a Short Trek to the Famous Everest View Hotel and Return Back to Namche Bazaar. Today's Acclimatization Walk is Very Important to Go For. Once We are Back, We Can Explore Namche Bazaar to Buy Souvenirs or Trekking Gears for Ourselves or Loved Ones. other Than the Everest View Hotel, We Can also Hike Till the Sherpa Cultural Museum to Get Spectacular Views of Everest. We also Get Amazing Views of Ama Dablam (22,310 Feet) as Well. this Museum also Has Maps of Treks in Nepal Including Our Ebc Trek.
Day 6 : Namche to Tengboche (10.5kms/ 5-6hours) (11,300 feet – 12,690 feet)
We make it to the top of the Namche bazaar market after half an hour of the trek. A comfortable trek for a couple of hours and we reach Shanasa. An hour's decent and we reach the Imjatse river. We halt here to rest and continue our trek. An hour from here and we reach the budhist entrance. A total of 5 to 6 hours and we reach our destination for the day.
Day 7 : Tengboche to Dengboche (12kms/ 5-6hours) (12,690 feet – 14,500 feet)
After Crossing a Few Scattered Homes and Lodges, We Cross the River Over a Bridge. Before Crossing this One, We See a Collapsed Bridge Which is No Longer in Use. After Trekking Through the Forest Patch Filled with Trees like Himalayan Birch, Rhododendron, Fir, Juniper Etc, We Reach the Beautiful Deboche. from Deboche We Get the Amazing Views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Ama Dablam.
after this We Trek Mostly Uphill to Reach the Mini Gate from Where We have 2 Route Options to Choose From. We Take the Route that Goes from Pangboche as this Route is More Beautiful. We Reach Dengboche and Retire for the Rest of the Day. Dengboche is a Greener and Bigger Compared to Tengboche.
Day 8 : Dengboche – Acclimatization day
Today We Spend to Acclimatize. We Spot the Mighty Lhotse Peak and Island Peak. Dengboche is also Utilised as a Start Point to Climb the Island Peak.
Day 9 : Dengboche to Lobuche (11.5kms/ 6-7hours) (14,500 feet – 16,250 feet)
Today we pass the famous Khumbu glacier. The first hour of the trek is an easy gradual trek to the Tibetan Mani (a symbol built in remembrance for someone). A gentle trek down and we reach the plains of Pheriche – the Himalayan Rescue Association. The route takes us through Phangboche which has amazing views of Ama Dablam right above us. Other mountain peaks as Mt. Pumori (23,300 feet), Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Cholatse and Mt. Thamserku are also visible on the route. After Pheriche, we cross the Khumbu glacier, from where we spot peaks like Khumbutse, Lingtren and Mahalangur as well. We spot various memorials of the sherpas and climbers who tried to conquer Everest. The famous Scott Fisher's memorial also can be scene here.
Day 10 : Lobuche to Gorekshep to Everest base camp and return to Gorekshep (15kms/ 8hours) (16,250 feet – 1
Today's trek is a long trek and the farthest point of our trek. We trek mostly on the glacier. Even though we do not get great views of the mighty Mt. Everest today, we will enjoy our trek. After a good hour's trek we reach the rocky moraines. We spot a few glacial ponds on our way to reach Gorekshep.
From Gorekshep the trek to Everest base camp is a strenuous climb of a few hours. The path from here could get tricky hence we follow our guide straight away. On reaching the base camp we spend some time, click some pictures and start our descent back to Gorekshep. Everest Base Camp' is the closest we get to the world's highest peak "EVEREST". Spending time here is a must for every mountain lover. Many mountaineers willing to attempt the Everest would be camping at the base camp. If time allows, and we can spot a few climbers, we could have a conversation with them as well.
Day 11 : Gorekshep to Kalla pathar to Lobuche (9kms/ 7hours) (17,000 feet – 18,625 feet – 16,250 feet)
Today is the Day When We Trek to the Tallest Point of Our Trek- Kalla Pathar Scaling Up Till An Altitude of 18,625 Feet. as this is the Tallest Point, It Will also Be the Most Strenuous of Climbs. Our Previous Day's Trek Experience to the Base Camp Will Be Very Useful. We Trek for About An Hour, Climbing On a Steep Route. After this Steep Climb We have Gradual and Easy Ascends Opening Up the Best Views of the Mighty Mt. Everest. a Total 3 Hours from Gorekshep and We'll Reach Kalla Pathar to Enjoy the Magnificent Views.
after Spending Some Time Here, We Start Our Descent. It Will Not Be Difficult to Get Down to Lobuche in Another 3 Hours. as the Entire Route of Returning Will Be Descending, We Will Need to Be Careful Not to Run Down and Injure Ourselves. this Days Total Trek Comprises of a Steep Incline in the Start and An Easy Yet Length Descend Back to Lobuche. Depending Upon the Team's Fitness and other Concerns, We Could Take a Collective Call to Descend Directly to Pheriche.
Day 12 : Lobuche/ Pheriche to Tengboche (16,250 feet – 12,690 feet)
Today Will Be a Gentle Descend of 6 to 7 Hours to Reach Tengboche. We Cross the Himalayan Ranges Once Again Retracing to Tengboche.
Day 13 : Tengboche to Monjo (12,690 feet – 9,400 feet)
We Trek to Monjo Which Would Take 6 to 7 Hours to Complete. this Would Be a Moderate Graded Trek. We Spend the Night in Monjo.
Day 14 : Monjo to Lukla (9,400 Feet – 9,250 Feet) (6 Hours)
Our Return to Lukla Will Be a Simple Graded Trek. Today We Trek for 6 Hours. We Descend Gradually and Just Before Reaching Lukla We have a Gradual Ascend that Leads Us Straight to Lukla. this is the Last Day of Our Everest Base Camp Trek So We Click as Many Pictures as We Can On Our Way...
Day 15 : Lukla to Kathmandu
From Lukla we proceed towards the airport to board our 35mins flight to Kathmandu. From there we head straight to our hotel and check-in. Later in the day, we take a stroll on the streets of Kathmandu and proceed towards the local markets. This would be a good day to do some shopping for ourselves/ near and dear ones. God trekking equipment is available here in Kathmandu. Have a closing ceremony on this last night with Wanderers and call it off for the night.
Day 16 : Check out from the hotel and head to the airport
We check out from the hotel latest by 11.30am and take a drop at the airport to catch our respective flights.
