If time is short or you don’t feel like doing a lot of walking, we can arrange helicopter day tour. This day tour takes you from Namche Bazar to Everest Base Camp and then will circle Mt. Kalapathar which features the finest close-up view of the world’s highest mountains. Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Kathmandu arrival (1,350 meters), transfer to hotel, welcome dinner

  Welcome to the Himalayas! From the core of our heart, we personally welcome you to the magical land of Nepal. When you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, your personal representative from Trekking Mart will come to greet you and take you to the magnificent Shangri-La Hotel to relax from your long flight in the finest of luxury. In the evening, we’ll come and take you to a special welcome dinner with authentic Nepali cuisine along with a fantastic cultural dance presentation. • Day 2 : Kathmandu City Tour and Trip Preparation

  In the morning breakfast is followed by the sightseeing of several mystical sites of Kathmandu. You will be guided by our professional city guide that knows the history, culture and religious backgrounds of these places. The sightseeing covers some fantastic UNESCO world heritage sites like Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) and Kathmandu Durbar Square which distinctly clarify the religious and cultural diversity and integrity of the country. We will also have a briefing sometime during the day to prepare you for your Everest journey.

• Day 3 : Early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2840 meters) and hiking to Phakding (2610 meters). 35 minutes flight. 3 - 4 hours hike

  Arrive in Lukla, gather our things and within an hour, prepare for our first-day trek to Phakding (elev. 2610 meters). It will take us 3 – 4 hours to reach our hotel in Phakding.
  
  Enjoy the charming Sherpa villages we will pass through. Between the villages are lush forests of pines watered by the gushing Dudh Koshi river. Throughout the trek, it is possible to observe the different angles of the famous snow-covered mountains from different locations. Upon reaching Chheplung village (2660 meters), Mt. Khumbu-Yul-Iha (5761m) will rise before you. This is a revered peak by the local Sherpas and is believed to be the home of the God of Khumbu. Mt. Khumbu-Yul-Iha provides a constant stream of life-giving freshwater to the villages of Khumjung and Khunde
  
  After having lunch at Thado Koshi, it’s an hour’s walk to reach Ghat village, where you can observe the beautiful mani stone carving work (Buddhist stone carving). Upon reaching Phakding, you can relax after your first day of trekking.

• Day 4 : Hike to Namche Bazaar (3440 meters). 6-7 hours hike

  Today you will be trekking all the way up to Namche Bazaar (3440 meters), the journey taking around 6-7 hours. It’s a full day trek, rewarding your efforts by passing through the majestic forests containing fir trees and rhododendrons (blooms during spring), along with crossing 6 suspension bridges and amazing waterfalls. Each bend in the trail will reveal new and interesting sights to see.
  
  After an hour walk from Phakding, you will be able to see the spectacular Thamserku peak (6608 meters). At Monjo, the trek enters Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park, which covers approximately 1200 square kilometers of the Khumbu region. The park has also been declared in 1979 a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After 3 hours of walking, lunch will be taken at the base of Mt. Jorsalle, from where a climb of 600 meters awaits to reach Namche Bazaar. The first glimpse of Mt. Everest (8848 meters), Nuptse (7861 meters) and Lhotse (8414 meters) are generally seen upon reaching Top Hill. From this point, Namche is 2 hours walk. Upon reaching Namche, trekkers can enjoy this vibrant village which features numerous restaurants, bakeries, shops, and hotels. This village is more like a small city and is the capital of the Sherpa people. You will definitely enjoy the culture of these hospitable mountain people.

• Day 5 : Hike to Everest View Hotel 3880 meters). 2-3 hours hike

  The climb from Namche Bazaar to Hotel Everest View (3880 meters) will take around 2 hours (3 hours if you take a slight detour and visit the National Park Museum. This museum provides interesting information in regards to the Himalayas, the traditional ways of the Sherpas, and the surrounding flora and fauna.) Visitors can also take excellent pictures at the View Point (near the Nepal Army camp) with the alluring snow-capped mountains in the background.
  
  The path leading to the hotel is a charming walk across a hill. It may even be possible to spot yaks grazing nearby, or a Himalayan Tahr (wild goat) balancing perfectly on the cliffs. You cannot see the hotel until you are almost there as it is hidden behind a ridge, surrounded by tall fir trees. Once you have reached Hotel Everest View, you will be served a refreshing glass of hot lemon with honey, which you can enjoy with the spectacular view of the Everest range. Relax for the day at Hotel Everest View or go on a day trip to nearby attractions.

• Day 6 : Fly back to Kathmandu by helicopter

  Enjoy seeing the mesmerizing view of snow-capped peaks including Mount Everest. This is your lifetime opportunity to see the world’s highest peak. After breakfast will be your photo op before enjoying a helicopter flight around Everest Base Camp/ Mt. Kalapathar.Land at Lukla airport for refueling and then fly to Kathmandu. Once you land at Kathmandu airport transfer to Hotel. Late afternoon you visit colorful Thamel market for souvenir shopping to your family and friends.
