Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Paro - Tacho Lhakhang - Thimphu

  Upon your arrival in Paro International Airport, you shall be greeted by a aCholala Tours & Travels representatives and he/she shall brief you about the tours, itinerary, inclusions as well as cultural practices of Bhutan including Do’s and Don’ts. The distance between Paro and Thimphu is about 65 kms and will take about an hour. On the way, we will visit Tachog Lhakhang located on a hilltop across Pa Chhu connected by an ancient iron bridge built in the late 13th and early 14th century by Thangtong Gyalpo
  After reaching Capital City we will check- in to your hotel and break for lunch. After lunch, we begin our sightseeing to the following:
  Buddha Dordenma
  National Memorial Chorten of Bhutan
  Arts & Crafts Market
  Then you will be taken to your hotel, you can enjoy your dinner and plan for next trip.
• Day 2 : Thimphu - Dochu La Pass - Punakha - Gasa Hot Spring

  After Breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel at a tentative time of 8;30am. The distance between Thimphu to Punakha is 75kms and will take 3 hours. En-route, you would be making some stop and sightseeing at Dochula Pass. It’s about 45 minutes’ drive from Thimphu.
  After a hot lunch and beverages at a restaurant at Punakha, we will continue towards Gasa hot spring (Gasa Tshachu) via beautiful village of Tashithang and Damji for about 30 to 45 minutes. We can enjoy dipping into hot spring water later before retiring into a tranquil night.
• Day 3 : Gasa - Punakha Dzong - Suspension Bridge

  Today we travel back to Punakha after our delicious breakfast. At Punakha, we will visit second oldest dzong built during Zhabdrung's era is arguably the most beautiful dzong in Bhutan with its characteristic location at the confluence of the two rivers of Punatsang Chhu surrounded by lilac colored jacaranda trees. We will visit the then capital and seat of government until the mid-1950s. It is also here that on 13th October 2011, the Royal weeding of the present King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and his fiancé, Jetsun Pema was held.
  
  We then take a leisure stroll along the Pho Chhu towards the Suspension Bridge located beside the dzong connecting it with villages such as Shengana, Samdingkha and Wangkha. It is the longest of its kind in Bhutan and offers you stunning view of Pho Chhu and valleys around the villages and Dzong. We then drive along the feeder road towards highway via Khuruthang town enjoying the retrospective view of the valley before retiring for the night.
• Day 4 : Punakha - Chimi Lhakhang - Lamperi - Thimphu

  Today we head towards Thimphu and on the way, we will stop to visit Chimmi Lhakhang the temple of fertility and the Royal Botanical Garden located in the heart of Lamperi which homes about 46 species of Rhododendrons, 115 species of ferns, 46 species of avifauna and a popular birding destination. You can try peddling a boat across the Lamperi lake and try to identify various flora and fauna species as you come across them.
  On reaching Thimphu, we will have lunch and visit following;
  Trashichhoe Dzong
  Simtokha Dzong
  Later in the evening you will be dropped to your hotel, where you can enjoy your dinner.
• Day 5 : Thimphu - Paro Valley

  After your lovely breakfast, we travel to Paro. then we set out for your sightseeing to the followings;
  Rinpung Dzong
  National museum of Bhutan
  Drukgyel Restoration site
  Then we break for lunch in Local eateries in Paro (Ask guide for local restaurant recommendation). After Lunch we continue our sightseeing to the following sites;
  Choedu Goemba
  Kichu Lhakhang
  After your sightseeing at Paro you will be dropped to your hotel, where you can enjoy your delicious dinner.
• Day 6 : Hike To Paro Taktsang

  we start famous Taktsang hike, you can choose to ride a horse from the parking lot to the monasteries with your own expenses. If the full hike sounds a bit tough, you can hike for 1 hour to the cafeteria - a wooden tea-house restaurant which offers a good view of the monastery.
  
  After your successful hike, you will be dropped off to your hotel and enjoy your dinner
• Day 7 : ​Jet - Off from Paro

  Today is the day we part our ways until next time we see each other. Before we drive to airport, we will review our trip and lend our caring ears for your suggestions and comments to further improve the service. Jetting off from Bhutan will never mean the end of our relationship, rather it is just the beginning of a new friendship we shall endure forever.
