Day 1 : Kochi
Arrival at the airport/railway station and transfer to Cochin. Proceed to Kochi and check into the hotel.Kochi (Colonial name Cochin) is a vibrant city situated on the south west of the Indian peninsula in the breathtakingly scenic and prosperous state of Kerala, hailed as ‘God’s Own Country’.Informely, Kochi is also referred to as the Gateway to Kerala. Sightseeing attractions include Fort Kochi Beach, Mattancherry Palace, Willingdon Island, Chinese Fishing Net, Church of Saint.Francis, Paradesi Synagogue, etc.Overnight stay at Kochi (Ernakulam).
Day 2 : (Kochi – Munnar) ( 130 KM )
After an early morning breakfast, drive to Munnar.Check into the hotel.Munnar is a magnificent hill station in the Western Ghats at about 5000 feet above sea level.This is one of the best hill stations in Kerala and is the major centre of Kerala’s tea industry.Munnar means three rivers and the town is located at the confluence of 3 mountain streams – Muthirapuzha,Nallathanni and Kundala.These 3 stream confluence at the heart of the town and meet all the water requirements of the settlers and visitors.Munnar has lakes, forests and several tea estates.Anamudi,the highest peak in South India (2695 m.8883 ft) is nearby.Munnar was the British Government’s Summer Resort in the South and it has been the favorite summer resort of the European seller for centuries.
On the way to Munnar enjoy the stunning panoramic view of the Cardamom Hills, Green Carpets of tea plantations, Cheeyyappara and Valara waterfalls.Overnight stay at Munnar.
Day 3 : Munnar
Morning after the breakfast proceeds to for the sightseeing tour of Munnar. Major sightseeing attractions are the Kundale Tea Plantation, Eravikulam National Park, The High Range Club, Top Station, Mattupetty, Devikulam, Rajamalai, Chithirapuram, Marayoor, Pallivasal and Pothamedu.Overnight stay at Munnar.
Day 4 : Munnar - Kumarakom
Proceed to Kumarakom and check into the hotel.Kumarakom, the queen of Vembanad,is a resort destination. The tiny village on the edge of Vembanad Lake was practically unknown till one Henry Baker purchased land from the erstwhile King of Travancore to built himself a grand home.Kumarakom ,today is a maze of modern resorts and heritage homes cum hotels spilling over the island’s bank.Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is a must visit with its numerous beautiful rivulets and waterways. The scenic Vembanad Lake surrounded by mangrove forests and paddy fields is one of the best places for bird viewing inside the sanctuary. A large population of feathered speciecs along with a pleasant climate makes it a great picnic spot. Overnight stay at Kumarakom.
Day 5 : Kumarakom - Kochi
Morning breakfast at the hotel. Later depart as per schedule to Kochi Airport/Railway station for your onward journey.
