Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Dibrugarh

  Meet and greet upon arrival by The Cat Holidays representative. Check in hotel freshen up then we take you on a tour, around a tea estate to learn all about tea – its origin, how it is grown and all about tea tasting and its quality. Thereafter drive on to the river front and take a boat cruise on the mighty Brahmaputra River in a country boat. Cruise up to a beach Island in the midst of the river. En-route there is a possibility of your sighting flocks of migratory water birds and the elusive Gangetic River Dolphin. Enjoy the view of the Eastern Himalayas and take a nature walk in the vast expanse of grasslands surrounding the island and enjoy your picnic lunch.  Return to the mainland and visit a weaving centre to see traditional looms and the weaving of silk textiles of Assam, famous all over the world. Evening option to go for shopping. Overnight in Dibrugarh.

• Day 2 : Dibrugarh - Digboi - Dibrugarh

  After breakfast, excursion to Digboi (90kms). Digboi - The oil city is nestled in the numerous Tea Gardens & mystic hills. Visit the hundred year old Refinery, the first refinery of Asia & is the world's oldest operating oil refinery. Other major destinations in & around Digboi are War Cemetery. 18 holes Golf Course. Later come back hotel. Overnight in Dibrugarh.

• Day 3 : Tinsukia - Dibru Saikhowa - Tinsukia

  After Breakfast, excursion to Dibru Saikhowa. Dibru Saikhowa Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the least known, but potentially most rewarding of Assam’s national parks, albeit with very basic accommodation, and it protects 640 square kilometres of grasslands, marshes and riverine forest. One of the few remaining protected sites in the Endemic Bird Area of the Assamese Plains, the sanctuary is home to globally threatened species such as White-winged Wood Duck, White-bellied Heron, Lesser Adjutant, Pallas’s Fish Eagle, Swamp Partridge, Jerdon’s Babbler, Black-breasted Parrot bill and Striated Grass bird. It is also home to some restricted-range species, such as the Marsh Babbler, Swamp Perinea and Yellow Weaver.

• Day 4 : Tinsukia - Jorhat (Approx. 200 Kms)

  After Breakfast leave to Jorhat. Enroute excursion to Sibsagar (80 kms/2 hrs). SIBSAGAR is the erstwhile capital of the Ahom Rulers is a beautiful town located around the huge artificial lake -Sibsagar tank & the Shiva Temple. Visit the archaeological remains, palaces, and temples of the Ahoms - Charaideo, Gargaon Palace, Talatal Ghar, Rang Ghar & Kereng Ghar. Later back to Dibrugarh Hotel. Arrive and overnight at Jorhat.

• Day 5 : Jorhat - Majuli - Jorhat

  After Breakfast, drive to Ferry Ghat to go to Majuli Island by crossing Brahmaputra River through a public ferry.
  Majuli Island, which is the second largest river island of the world. The island is the birthplace of the Neo-Vaishnavite culture which is followed by the people of Assam. Many Satras (Assamese monasteries) exist within the island, where monks both young and old, learn about various forms of traditional arts, dance, music, drama and religion. The satras preach a life of simplicity, and yet, it is easy for a tourist to be consciously enlightened by the power of such simplicity.
  Majuli is also home to many tribes, who live a very simple and sustainable life. You can spend time with these tribes, understand about their ways of life and indulge in their daily activities. You can also spend time indulging in the pleasures of bird-watching, as the island is an important habitat for birds.
  
  After sightseeing come back to Jorhat again by crossing Brahmaputra River. Overnight at Jorhat.

• Day 6 : Jorhat - Kaziranga (Approx. 100 Kms)

  After Breakfast drive to Kaziranga National Park, the home of "One Horned Rhinoceros". Check in at your hotel. Evening free for leisure or explore the local market. Overnight stay in Kaziranga.
  
  Optional: Bihu Dance could be organized on request.

• Day 7 : Kaziranga National Park

  Early morning explore any one zone of Kaziranga National Park on back of Elephant i.e. ELEPHANT SAFARI (Optional: Unless it is mentioned in the inclusion). Get up early morning at 5.30AM and start for both central range ‘Kohora’ and western range ‘Bagori’. Apart from the Rhino, other species found are Hog Deer, Swamp Deer, Wild Buffalo, Elephants and if you are lucky then tiger also. It is also home to pelicans, storks and darters as there are a number of water bodies inside the Park. At 6:30 AM return to the hotel / resort for Breakfast. After Breakfast take little rest in the resort & hotel.
  
  Afternoon around 01.45 PM you have JEEP SAFARI in Central range. Kaziranga National Park, has become synonymous with successful conservations of Great One Horn Rhinoceros (from the Greek word, "rhino" means nose and "ceros" means horn) / Unicornis (from the Latin word, "uni" means one and "cornis" also means horn) and also a home of many other threatened species including Indian Elephant (Elephant Maximus), Tiger (Panthera tigris), Hoolock Gibbon (Bunipithecus hoolock), Ganges dolphin (Platanista gangetica), Sambar (Cervus unicolor), Barasingha or Swamp Deer (duvauceli), Hog Deer, Indian Muntjac (Muntiacus muntjak), Water Buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) and Gaur (Bos frontalis) etc.
  
  There are also over 500 species of birds have been recorder in the park including 25 species of globally threatened category. Over and above there are 21 rare and endangered species. In winter one can observe a large breeding population of Spot Bill Pelicans about one thousand breeding nests are found in a place which has been named as Pelican Colony in the Eastern Range. 
   
  Among the reptiles species like Water Monitor Lizard (Varanus salvator), Indian python (Python molurus), Cobra (Naja naja) and the King Cobra are found. Return back to resort / hotel. Overnight in Kaziranga.
  
  Optional: Bihu Dance could be organized on request in the evening.
  
  Note: The Park is open during the winter months of the dry season from the beginning of November to the end of April.

• Day 8 : Kaziranga National Park - Guwahati

  After breakfast, transfer to Guwahati. Evening River Cruise at Brahmaputra River. Overnight in Guwahati.

• Day 9 : Guwahati

  After breakfast, Full day sightseeing of Guwahati. Pay your obeisance at the numerous Temples - Maa Kamakhya. Sukreshwar. Umananda. Navagraha, Bashistha Ashram. Tirupathi Balaji and many more. Visit the Second world war Cemetery, State Museum, State Zoo & Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra (A museum of Assam diverse culture), Science Museum beside the temples. Evening could visit Guwahati market in “Fancy Bazaar”
  
  Kamakhya Temple: Over the centuries, Kamrup Kamakhya has been the seat of the powerful tantrik cult in India. Situated atop the Nilachal Hill in Guwahati, it is one of the 108 Shakti Peethas of the country. Rising to a modest height of 562 feet above the mighty river Brahmaputra, the hill on which the temple stands commands a magnificent view of the entire city. Several smaller shrines and temples dedicated to Kala Bhairava, Shiva and other Hindu deities are also located in its vicinity.
  
  Optional: Boat Cruise at Brahmaputra River in the evening. Overnight at Guwahati.

• Day 10 : Guwahati Departure

  After Breakfast, return back to Guwahati Airport / Railway station for your departure. Your tour ends here with pleasant memories.

IMPORTANT:

We need following for process your booking:

1. Guests Name & Contact Numbers.

2. Naming List with gender & age.

3. Arrival /Departure details.

4. Necessary documents for ILP (Inner Line Permit)

NOTE:

Please carry original ID proof (Identity card – Voter ID card/Pass-port/Driving License etc.) for security purpose & hotel policy.

1.) Check-in 08:00 hrs. / Check-out time is 08:00 hrs.

2.) On arrival of guest at Airport our executive will be there with the PLA – CARD at Exit Gate on the Airport. Railway Station.

3.) The tourism infrastructure in North East is not very developed and one should not expect or compare it with the standards of other cities & other developed destinations.

4.) We request guests to contact our executive in case of any complaint/suggestions instead of asking driver to follow according to their wish.

5.) On arrival of guests or at the time of issuing travel voucher, we will provide them local contact numbers of our Executive, who will handle the entire Operation.

6.) Keeping this in mind please ensure that you do not leave your belongings in the vehicle as there is very little possibility of getting them back.

7.) If for any reason any tourist spot is closed we shall not cover it on next day and if guest wants to do the same on next day then additional cost to be paid by the guests.

8.) If guests want any changes in their sightseeing schedule they should be inform to our executive previous day of the schedule program before 16:00 hrs after that no changes are allowed. If the guest inform after 16:00 hrs. It will be consider as a cancellation with no refund or guest will pay extra cost for the re-schedule the sightseeing.

9.) Guest pleased is informed to maintain the timing for the sightseeing / transfers which will advisable by our Executive.

PAYMENT & RESERVATION TERMS:

You can make reservations with us by advising us your acceptance of the tour and travel dates. We would immediately proceed to make tentative bookings. All services would be kept on confirmed basis only on receipt of 50% advance payments. The balance full and final payment must reach us before 20 days of the start of tour. In case of failure to make 100% payment before 20 days, the advance will be forfeited and the package deemed to be cancelled.

CANCELLATION POLICY

You, or any member of your party, may cancel their travel arrangements at any time. Written notification or an e-mail to that effect from the person who made the booking must be received at our offices. Cancellation charges per person:

Before 60 Days of   Commencement = 25% on the Total Amount.

Before 59 - 31 Days = 30% Cancellation Charges of Total Amount.

Before 30 – 15 Days of Commencement = 50% Cancellation Charges of Total Amount.

Before 14 - 7 Days of Commencement = 75% Cancellation Charges of Total Amount.

Less than 7 Days of Commencement = NO REFUND

The above may vary based on any specific cancellation charges as charged by the third party service provider.

If We Change or Cancel Your Holiday:

1)      We do plan the arrangements in advance. It is unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your travel Arrangements. Occasionally, we may have to make changes and we reserve the right to do so at any time. If there are any changes, we will advise you of them at the earliest possible date. We also reserve the right in any Circumstances to cancel your travel arrangements by assigning reasons to you.

2)      If we are unable to provide the booked travel arrangements due to reasons beyond our control (for instance, bad weather, political disorder) etc.

3)      We shall first try to offer you alternative dates for the tour if the tour hasn’t already commenced.

4)      If the tour has already commenced, then we shall refund the booking price/fee charged from you on a pro-rata basis depending on portion of the tour standing utilized by you.

5)      In all circumstances, however, our liability shall be limited refunding to you the price we charged as the tour fees.

The above itinerary is suggested Tour Plan. The Company is responsible for only those services which are charged from the guest. All other services which are not paid by the guest to the Company are Suggested services and Company is nowhere bound to provide that service or pay the cost for the same. Check in and Checkout Timing of the Hotel will be according to the timing of the respective Hotels. Company is not responsible for compensating any loss or additional cost incurred by the guest while taking the tour. Company is not responsible, nor liable for any damage, loss or injury caused to any passenger while taking the tour. Dollar rates are applicable only to foreign Nationals & Indians possessing foreign passports, while the INR package rates will be applicable to Indian nationals. All the disputes are subject to Kolkata Jurisdiction only. Any Claim related to the Package must be brought to the notice of the Company within a week. After one week the company will not entertain Claim related to the Package.
