Experiential Himachal Break (6 Nights) Tour

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival at Palampur. Drive around Palampur

  Arrive at Palampur. Time permitting drive around the tea plantations, riverside and Himalayan views (on a clear day).
• Day 2 : Temple visits and Sightseeing around Palampur

  Visit like Baijnath Temple, Chamunda Devi Temple, Tashi Jong Monastery, Neugal Khad, Bundla Stream etc. These are all situated within 20 kms radius of Palampur.
• Day 3 : Dharamsala excursion / Nature walks / village visit etc.

  Excursion to Dharamsala and Mcloedgunj (35 kms). Visit Norbulingka Institute, a must visit for any visitor to Dharamsala for a Tibetan cultural heritage experience. Time permitting, visit war memorial at Dharamsala, that commemorates martyrs of the area. Visit Mcleodgunj (8 kms) for the Dalai Lama Monastery, Tibetan street market and Bhagshu Nath (3 kms from Mcleodgunj) Shiva Temple. Guests also have an option to opt for Nature walks / village visit etc. instead of the Dharamsala excursion.
• Day 4 : Palampur - Pragpur

  Proceed to Pragpur (100 kms - 2.5 hrs) enroute visit Vajreshvari (Kangra), Kangra Fort, Jawalamukhi Temple and Chintpurni temple. Pragpur is a designated heritage village known for its crafts and heritage character. Pragpur has held onto the essence of an earlier era - unchanged shops, cobbled streets, ornamental village tank, mud plastered and slate roofed houses. A walk around the village is recommended.
• Day 5 : Adventure / Excursions / walks / temple visits around the area

  Guests have a large platter of option to choose from based on area of interest. There are several trekking options around the area (half day soft treks). There are number of walks (Half day) that allows guests to explore the surroundings. There are number of interesting small temples that are full of character and views and worth a visit.

• Day 6 : Maharana Pratap Sagar excursion or village walk or trekking

  Guests looking for a bit of adventure can do an excursion to Maharana Pratap Sagar (20 kms) where watersports such as water-skiing, surfing, kayaking, rowing, canoeing etc are available. Guests otherwise have options to pursue what could not be done the previous day. Guests with interest in heritage and archeology also have an option of visiting Masroor Rock cut temples (Full day excursion).

• Day 7 : Departure

  Depart for onward journey.
