It is Located About 43 Km from Bomdila On the Way to Tawang. the Town is Mostly Used By Tourists for Overnight Halt On the Way to Tawang. Erstwhile Tawang District Was a Sub-division of West Kameng District Till 5th October 1984. this District is Situated in Western Most Part of Arunachal Pradesh. the Area of this District is Approximately 2,172 Sq.km, Bounded By Tibet (china) to the North, Bhutan to the South-west and Sela Ranges Separated from West Kament District in the East. the Name of Tawang is Believed to have Derived Its Name from the Grandiose of Tawang Monastery Perched On the Edge of the Ridge Running Along the Western Part of Tawang Township. the Popular Interpretation is that the Name “tawang” Was Given By His Holiness the Mera Lama Lodre Gyatso.

Day 1 : Arrive at Guwahati.
Pick Up from Guwahati Airport/railway Station to Hotel/guest House. On the Way to the City, Visit the Holy Maa Kamakhya Temple. Evening Visit Shankardev Kalakshetra -a Culture Centre with a fine Disposition of the Life and Culture of the People of Assam. Overnight At Hotel/guest House.
Day 2 : Guwahati- Kaziranga.
After Breakfast Check Out from the Hotel/guest House and Drive to Kaziranga(300kms/4hrs). Overnight At the Hotel/guest House/eco Camp.
Day 3 : At Kaziranga
Early Morning Wake Call to Move for Elephant Ride , 1st Ride At 05.30hr to 06.30hr/2nd Ride At 06.30hr to 07.30hr) You Can Select Any Option as per Your Convenient. After Breakfast Out for Jeep Safari At Kaziranga National Park. After Lunch Visit to Orchid Park. Overnight At Hotel/guest House.
Day 4 : Kaziranga – Tezpur – Dirang.
Start early in the morning for Dirang. On the way visit Tippi On the banks of the river Bharali at an elevation of 190 mtrs is Tipi, an orchidarium with over 7500 orchids. On display are some of the finest species with names like the Dainty Lady’s Slipper or the more formal sounding Dendrobium. Arunachal has the largest range of orchids in the country. Continue your drive and do not forget to keep your cameras handy as you cross beautiful waterfalls and get some spectacular views. Check in to your hotel/guest house and overnight stay.
Day 5 : Dirang- Tawang.
After an early breakfast we will leave for one of the most popular tourist destinations, Tawang. We will be driving through the beautiful valley of Dirang to reach Sela Pass (13703 ft). En-route bubbling river and colorful tribes will greet you. On reaching spend some time around the paradise lake, which is the land of the Monpa tribes and a major center of the Mahayana Buddhism. Later, we will continue our drive to Tawang. Upon arrival, check into a hotel. In the evening you can visit the Craft Center and traditional Monpa Village. Overnight stay at the hotel/guest house.
Day 6 : At Tawang.
Today we will have a full day excursion around Tawang. We will visit the famous Tawang Monastery, which was founded by Mera Lama Lodre Gyaltso. He was a contemporary of the fifth Dalai Lama and founded the Monestery during 17th century A.D. At present it accommodates over 500 monks and houses priceless Buddhist texts and scriptures.
Later, we will go on a short trek to Bramdungchung Ani Gomap, which is the abode of nuns and the oldest Ani Gompa in Tawang. The Gompa is situated in the lap of a far off mountain laced with natural scenery and comes under the administration of Tawang Monastery. In the evening we will visit Urgelling Monastery, situated 5 km to the south of town. It was here in 1683 Tsangyang Gyatso, the sixth Dalai Lama was born. We will also visit the Monpa Village. Overnight stay at the hotel/guest house in Tawang.
Day 7 : Tawang – Zimthang
Today We Will Start Our Day a Little Early for An Excursion to Zemithang. We Will Visit the Sky Looming Stupa Which Was Constructed By Lama Prathar of Kharman Village in 13th Century Ad. There are a Number of Devotees that Visit It During Gorzam Kora Festival.
Later We Will Return Back to Tawang for Overnight Stay.
Day 8 : Tawang – Bomdila
After Breakfast Transfer to Bomdila. Check in the Hotel On Arrival. After Lunch Visit Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (upper Gonpa), Thub-chog Gatsel Ling Monastery (lower Gonpa), Bomdila View Point. Bomdila Offers Wonderfully Panoramic View of Himalayan Landscapes and Snow Clad Ranges. Evening You Can Visit the Local Market. Overnight Stay in Bomdila.
Day 9 : Bomdila – Guwahati
After Breakfast Transfer to Guwahati. Check in to Your Hotel. Overnight Stay
Day 10 : Guwahati sightseeing
After Breakfast Visit Visit Umananda Temple On the Peacock Island Known as the Smallest River Island On Earth. Also Visit to Basistha Temple and Guwahati Museum. In the Evening Enjoy River Cruise On Alfresco (northeast First Ac Luxury River Vessel).overnight At Hotel/guest House.
Day 11 : Guwahati – Cheerapunjee
After breakfast at the Hotel/Guest House, trip to Cherrapunjee via Shillong – this is a very scenic drive enabling one to see the cloud covered hills and the deep gorges. Will cover Cheerapunjee sightseeing which includes Nohkalikai Falls. Mawsmai Caves, Eco Park, Nohsngithiang Falls, Thangkharang Park. Overnight at Hotel/Resort/Guest House.
Day 12 : Cheerapunjee – Shillong Sightseeing and back to Guwahati
After breakfast drive for shillong city sightseeing which includes places of interest like Elephant Falls, Shillong Peak, Lady Hydari Park, Laitumkhrah Cathedral, Wards Lake, Golf Course and State Museum. Return back to ghy and overnight at Hotel/Guest House.
Day 13 : Deparature
After Breakfast Checkout from the Hotel for Station/airport Drop.
