The Bible says Lot’s daughters gave birth to sons whose descendents would become the Ammonite and Moabite people, whose kingdoms were in what is now central Jordan. It is here that Byzantine Christians built a church and monastery dedicated to Lot.Lot's Cave near the town of Safi, Here Prophet Lot lived together with his daughters after he fled the sinful cities Sodom and Gomorrah.

Then drive up the high mountains which is very gracious through Al Sharah Mountains, to the wild natural reserve of Dana, Dana Nature Reserve (308 square km) is a world of natural treasures. It is composed of a chain of valleys and mountains which extend from the top of the Jordan Rift Valley down to the desert lowlands of Wadi Araba. The visitor to this area will be awed by the beauty of the Rummana mountain, the mystery of the ancient archaeological ruins of Feinan, the timeless serenity of Dana Village, and the grandeur of the red and white sandstone cliffs of Wadi Dana. We stop overlooking Dana and enjoying the views of the top mountains.

Next, we stop (20-30 min.) at Shoubak Castle, one of the crusader castles, The area that holds the castle, Alshobak, thought to be inhibited in the Edom period and was restored in the Nabataean's reign. Shobak castle was used as a monastery until it was rebuilt by the crusader prince Baldwin I and after him by Jerusalem king in 1115 AD. It was called Mount Real. The castle has nine towers shaped on different forms circular, rectangle, and square. The castle is surrounded with fruit trees below. The outsider look of the castle leaves you impressed with its big gate and walls and the precautions its builder put in mind through its construction. Because of the strong building of this castle, Saladin spent a long time before he invade it and proud his success in that by the inscriptions on its walls.

Then we dive to Petra (Approx. 30 Min.) for overnight.

  • Day 5 : Petra Full Day Tour

After Breakfast, we start the tour of the second wonder of the world, the rose red city of PETRA, Biblical Name "Sella", which means the Red Rock, the traditional entry to Petra is through the mile-long winding chasm called the Siq. This is a must-do walk; the extravagant colors of the sandstone walls, and many remains of the Nabatean shrines, water channels, wall carvings and some of the original paving stones make the Siq an archaeological wonder in itself - and then there is the heart - stopping moment when you suddenly reach the end of the canyon and face the towering Treasury, the memorable carved façade of Indiana Jones fame. Around the corner from the Treasury, you'll see many carvings along the Street of Facades, and in the ancient city center you will want to explore the Theater, Royal Tombs, Colonnaded Street, Byzantine Church, Winged Lion's Temple, Qasr al Bint, and the Petra Museum, with a collection of the very fine Nabatean pottery, ancient statuary and other artifacts. The religion of the Nabateans led to the creation of temples and cult centers on most of the mountain peaks ringing the Petra city center. Climbs to these high points are rewarding for the archaeology and also for the natural beauty of the colorful sandstone mountains-and rewarding in the magnificent views which many of the peaks command. Places of worship, funerary monuments and other points of interest are particularly popular at ad-Deir (the Monastery).

During the Exodus, Moses and the Israelites passed through the Petra area in Edom, local tradition says that the spring at Wadi Musa (Valley of Moses), just outside Petra, is the place where Moses struck the rock and brought forth water. The Bible says that Moses was not allowed to enter the Holy Land but could only glimpse it from Mount Nebo because he struck the rock with his rod to bring forth water, instead of speaking to it, as God had commanded. Aaron, the brother of Moses and Miriam, who was called by God to be Moses' prophet, died in Jordan and was buried in Petra at Mount Hor, now called Jabal Harun in Arabic (Mount Aaron). A Byzantine church and later an Islamic shrine/tomb of Aaron were built on the summit of the mountain, which today attracts pilgrims from all over the world. Aaron was the first High Priest of the Bible and is remembered for the beautiful blessing that God commanded him to give people. Then walk gradually back to the lower part of Petra, Back to the hotel.
