Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival

  Meet and greet upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Railway Station and transfer to Gangtok (5412 Ft, 130 Kms / 04 to 05 Hrs). Check in and overnight at Hotel.

  • Meals & Drinks : Daily breakfast would be served at Gangtok hotel, while all three meals would be served at Lachen and Lachung (North Sikkim on APAI meal plan).

• Day 2 : Full Day Excursion To Tshangu Lake & Baba Mandir

  Post breakfast, start excursion of Tshangu Lake (12400Ft / 03 Hrs one way from Gangtok) a mountain lake with an average depth of 50 feet, and also visit Baba Mandir (13100Ft / 16 Kms one way from Tshangu Lake). Later return to Gangtok and evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel. (Incase Tshangu Lake is closed due to any other reasons, an alternate full day sightseeing will be provided)
  OPTIONAL NATHULA
  The guests can also visit Nathula Pass by paying a supplement cost (which will be provided on request subject to fulfilment of the given conditions.
  a. At least 72 hrs is needed for organising the permit, which is allotted as per a lottery system on the day of the journey and cannot be guaranteed.
  b. There would not be any refund if the guests are unable to visit Tshangu Lake, Nathula Pass or Baba Mandir due to any reason (Land slide, Heavy rain fall, VIP Movement, Health issues etc) once the permit is issued by the Tourism Department of Sikkim.
  c. Documents required for the processing of the permits include valid photo identity cards (Voter Identity Cards/ Passports / Driving Licenses & Aadhar cards along with 04 recent Passport Size photographs. Pan Card is not accepted as valid identity proof by the Sikkim Tourism Department.
  d. Nathula is closed on Mondays & Tuesdays for tourists.

  • Meals & Drinks : Daily breakfast would be served at Gangtok hotel, while all three meals would be served at Lachen and Lachung (North Sikkim on APAI meal plan).

• Day 3 : Gangtok - Lachen

  After breakfast, transfer to Lachen (130 Kms / 06 to 07 Hrs), enroute visiting Tashi view point, Seven sister’s water fall (subject to the vehicle taking the normal route.) NOTE: In case these sightseeing points are missed because of diversions, there will be NO REFUND as they are included on complimentary basis. Check in and overnight at Hotel.
  REQUIREMENTS FOR PROCURING VALID PERMITS FOR VISITING NORTH SIKKIM (INDIAN NATIONALS):
  a) 03 passport size photographs of each traveler (Adult or Children) with their name, age & gender written behind each photograph.
  b) Photo Copy of Photo valid ID proof of each traveler (Adult or Children). It is important to carry original with self.
  c) A list mentioning the Name, Age, Gender and Address of all the travelers (family wise).
  
  **Any document issued by the Central or State Governments having Photo, Name and the address will be considered as ID Proof. The Photo ID Proof can be anyone of the following, Driving License, Voter Identity Card, Valid Passport and Aadhar Card. Pan Card is not accepted as valid identity proof by the Sikkim Tourism Department.
  ***In case a wife traveling with her husband and children below 18 Years traveling with their parents do not have a Valid Government issued ID Proofs, then a written declaration must be submitted by the husband or parents for the issuance of the permits.
  
  IMPORTANT: THERE IS NO REFUND AFTER THE PACKAGE IS CONFIRMED FOR LACHEN AND LACHUNG IN NORTH SIKKIM.

  • Meals & Drinks : Daily breakfast would be served at Gangtok hotel, while all three meals would be served at Lachen and Lachung (North Sikkim on APAI meal plan).

• Day 4 : Gorudongmar Lake Excursion - Lachung

  Early morning drive to Chopta Valley & Gorudongmar Lake which is situated at a staggering 17800 Feet / 5427 Meters (04 to 05 Hrs from Lachen). During this journey, the only halt is at Thangu for acclimatization. Here the guests can enjoy hot tea and snacks sold at the Army canteen on direct payment. Later, proceed towards Chopta Valley (4 Kms / 30 to 45 min from Thangu) and then drive further to witness the breathtaking view of Gurudongmar Lake, considered sacred by Buddhists and Sikhs, which remains in frozen state (except one corner) during the winters. Later, return to Lachen and after lunch, transfer to Lachung (60 Kms/ 03 to 04 Hrs). Check in and overnight at Hotel.

  • Themes : Hill Stations & Valleys
  • Meals & Drinks : Daily breakfast would be served at Gangtok hotel, while all three meals would be served at Lachen and Lachung (North Sikkim on APAI meal plan).

• Day 5 : Lachung - Yumthang Excursion - Gangtok

  After a good night’s rest, proceed for half day excursion to Yumthang Valley (25 Kms / 1 ½ hours one way). Here, the tourists can witness the soaring snow-capped mountains and herds of wandering yaks. If travelling between April & June, they can also witness the blooming of different variety of flowers at the Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary. On their way back, they can also pay a visit to the Hot spring, which according to locals, possesses medicinal value. After the excursion, the guests can return to their hotel in Lachung and enjoy their lunch after which, they drive to Gangtok (124 Kms / 05 ½ to 06 ½ Hrs). Check in and overnight at Hotel.
  OPTIONAL YUMESAMDONG (ZERO POINT)
  Excursion to Yumesamdong or Zero Point (24 Kms / 1½ to 2 Hrs from Yumthang Valley each way) is not included in /the package and can be covered by paying additional cost of INR 3000.00 per vehicle to the drivers.

• Day 6 : Departure

  After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Railway Station (130 Kms / 04 to 05 Hrs) with beautiful memories.
