5 Nights / 6 Days
This is the classic summer retreat tour to the well-trodden Himalayan paths of Shimla and Manali.
Historically rich and culturally soothing, this 6 days-5 nights design suits the newcomers to the snow-ranges as well as the well travelled. The entire trip is by road in the comfort of a terrain vehicle. The Hotels in Shimla and Manali are chosen to give you the best nights and refreshing mornings.
Shimla, the summer capital of the colonial era is much more than just a relic of the past. The cedar woods, the snow lines, the pastures and the smiling countryside will inspire you to write your own story in the present.
Manali, an all time favourite for snow lovers and trail walkers is a must-do next stop from Shimla. Take in the legendary Vaishno Devi temple, the Rohtang Pass and more.
Our Service and Care begins as soon as you arrive at the New Delhi railway station, preferably in the morning hours.A specially designated vehicle shall pick up you. A tea-coffee and freshen-up time, if you wish so, and off you start the drive to Shimla. This 375 kms distance would take a good 8 hours of comfortable drive. Scheduled halts in between would take care of snack and washroom needs.
You reach Shimla as the evening is coming in. The winding paths have given you some glimpses of the wonder of the days to come.
Check-in at the chosen Hotel and Relax. Dinner is at the Hotel. This marks the first overnight stay in Shimla.
A wholesome, healthy breakfast will set you up for the day.
Shimla and its surroundings are a breathtaking yet calming experience. Kufri, is the first one we go to. A hill-station at a 9000 ft altitude, this place is mostly known as a Ski destination. And is wonderful, even if you do not choose to Ski, or it is not the Ski season.
A walk through and to the Cedar woods of Mahasu (Mashobra, is its true name) will bring you to the stunning Himalayas.Take in the ranges’ view. For the Equine lovers, there is riding (at your own cost) and for the shutter-bugs the photography aplenty. Evening is at the well-known Mall road.
And, Back to the Hotel in time for the drinks and dinner and warm conversations.
A 270 kms to be taken in through a 8 hours lovely drive after your breakfast. On your way you would see the workshops and sale outlets of the famous shawls made in Kullu. And the legendary Vaishno Devi temple.
You reach your Hotel as the evening comes in. Cool and refreshing winds soothe you of your day’s journey. Check-in and relax. Dinner, Conversations and restful sleep – this is your first overnighter in Manali.
You have two day-trips to take in Manali and the surroundings.
On this first day we shall take you to the mythological Hidimba Temple, the only temple dedicated to this Ogress-wife of Bhima of the Mahabharata Epic. The son born to this divine couple, Ghatotkatcha, played a pivotal role at a very crucial point in the Epic War.
The Tibetan Monastery shall take you over to Lord Buddha, the divinity who brought Compassion and Peace to a confused humanity 2550 years ago, and whose Teachings still draw world-wide fellowship. Take in the Thanka paintings that are symbolic of this philosophy and teachings.
The Vasistha Temple and its for natural Hot & Cold water spring Kund is the next delight on this trail. It is evening even before you realize it – you can enjoy it at the famous Manali Mall.
And, Back to the Hotel in time for the drinks, dinner and warm conversations.
On this second day, after breakfast, we take you to Rohtang pass or Snow Point as it is commonly called.
These mountain-scapes are snow bound all year round. Stunning in their whiteness and refreshing in their tall calm, this point shall sure humble you.
It really does take all day to take in the town the picturesque views. Experience it at your own pace.
The evening too is all yours, so we shall drive down to the Mall side or stop at any point of your chioice, but we sure need to be down before the sun starts setting.
And, Back to the Hotel in time for the drinks, dinner and warm conversations.
The last stretch of 570 kms is a 12 hours return journey to Delhi.
So, after a wholesome and healthy breakfast, and well in time, we shall leave for Delhi. You shall be dropped off at the airport or railway station.
