Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Fort Kochi

  On arrival transfer to hotel at Fort Kochi which is also known as “Old Kochi”, an obscure fishing village that became the first European township in India. The town was shaped by the Portuguese, the Dutch and later the British. The results of these cultural influences are seen in the many examples of Indo European architecture that still exist here.
  A leisurely stroll through its streets is one of the best ways to discover all that this city has to offer - each and every nook of this island is steeped in history. There is always something interesting awaiting you like its natural harbor and historical sites. A boat ride across the breathtaking blue lagoons and backwaters offers a glimpse of Kochi’s rural life and its inherent beauty. Spend the night at Kochi.

• Day 2 : Athirappilly - 70 km from Kochi, 2 Hours Drive

  After breakfast a city sightseeing drive to Kerala’s Majestic waterfalls. The Chalakudi River bursting forth from the jungles of Sholayar, comes crashing down, plummeting 80 feet to form the dramatic Athirappilly Falls - the waterfalls as spirited and noisy as the forests are dark and silent. The cool spray that covers a large area near the falls makes this area a scenic location. Many eminent film directors used this location for their movies. Overnight stay at Athirappilly.
• Day 3 : Thattekkade Bird Sanctuary - 70 Km from Athirappally, 2 Hours Drive

  After breakfast drive to Thattekkade Bird Sanctuary. Check in to hotel here. This is the richest bird habitat on Indian Peninsula. More than 80% of birds found in Kerala can be seen here. The region is an evergreen low-land forest located between the branches of Periyar River, the longest river in Kerala. Several species of birds, both forest birds as well as the water birds, visit the sanctuaries,

• Day 4 : Munnar - 70 Km from Thattekkade, 2 Hours Drive

  After Breakfast Check out from hotel & make a scenic drive to Munnar (1800 meters above sea level) En route Visit Adimali (Wholesale market for spices and cardamom), Cheyyappara waterfalls, Valara waterfalls, Viewpoint, Attukal Waterfalls and other wayside attractions. Check into hotel here. Free at leisure.
• Day 5 : Munnar

  Sightseeing after breakfast, visiting Photo point, Mattupetty Dam, Echo point, Film Shooting point, Kundale Lake, Tea Factory & Museum, Blossom Park & Pothenmedu View Point.
• Day 6 : Periyar Wildlife Park - 90 Km from Munnar 3.5 hours Drive

  After Breakfast a scenic journey to Thekkady past mist capped mountains, spice plantations and open grasslands lined with Spectacular waterfalls. On arrival check into hotel, refresh yourself & relax.
  Thekkady is a pleasant heaven on earth for those who love nature in its wild manifestations. A boating inside Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary gives you the chance to see animals at their own habitat. Spend the night at Thekkady.
• Day 7 : Vagamon - 45 Kms from Periyar, 1 ½ Hours Drive, 1100 Meters Above Sea Level

  Morning drive to Vagamon, also known as the 'Scotland of Asia' was discovered by the British who found the place ideal for tea plantations. National Geographic Traveler has listed Vagamon in their directory of the '50 most attractive places to visit in India’. Still untouched by commercialisation, the sleepy town with its scenic valleys, beautiful green meadows, enchanting pine forests, mists, fogs, tea estates, waterfalls with the overall greenery is really striking.

• Day 8 : Kumarakom to Alappuzha Houseboat Cruise - 72 Km from Vagamon, 2 Hours Drive

  After breakfast drive to Kumarakom, board on to houseboat sail towards Alappuzha “Venice of the East”. This enchanting cruise will give you the scenes of Inland water village life such as duck farming, Coir Making, Toddy Tapping, Backwater fishing & Chinese fishing nets. You will sail through wide lakes & palm fringed narrow cannals, Coconut lagoons and watch birds like kingfisher, wood pecker, drongo, egrets, bee-caters etc. Overnight stay at Houseboat.
• Day 9 : Kovalam Beach - 75 Km, 90 Minutes Drive

  After breakfast disembark from houseboat & drive to Kovalam. check in to the hotel on reaching Kovalam. Kovalam is an internationally renowned village with three adjacent crescent shaped beaches. A massive rocky promontory on the beach has created a beautiful bay of calm waters ideal for Swimming, Surfing & other activities. The leisure options at this beach are plenty and diverse, water sports. Sunbathing, swimming, herbal body toning massages & catamaran cruising are some of them. Life on the beach begins late in the day and carries on well into midnight.
• Day 10 : Kanyakumari

  After breakfast travel to Kanyakumari visiting Padmanabhapuram wooden palace, Ancient Suchindram temple, Devi Kanyakumari Temple, Vivekananda rock, Gandhidham and Triveni Sangam (confluence of 3 oceans–Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal & Arabian Sea). The city is at the southernmost tip of India is especially popular for its spectacular and unique sunrise and sunset.
