Day 1 : Arrive Delhi
Arrival at Delhi international airport. Clear immigration and visa formalities, collect your baggage and Lotus India Holidays representative will meet you with a placard. Transfer to hotel and check in. Overnight.
Day 2 : Delhi
After breakfast full day city tour of Delhi, tour starts with Old Delhi drive past of Red Fort. Visit the Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India. Later take a Rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk . Afternoon visit New Delhi, which will include photo stop at- Parliament House, India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhavan. Visit Humayun’s Tomb, one of the best examples of a Mughal Garden Tomb. Later visit Qutub Minar, the tallest brick minaret. Overnight.
Day 3 : Delhi – Mandawa
This morning after breakfast travel to Mandawa, founded in the mid-18th century, the town offers a sense of new discovery and is known for its forts, castles, stunning havelis, beautiful paintings, rich culture and tradition. On arrival check in at hotel. Later sightseeing visiting the majestic Mandawa Fort; its archway has beautiful painting which shows Lord Krishna among his cowherds and the rooms are architecturally adorned with mirror work. Overnight.
Day 4 : Mandawa – Bikaner
This morning after breakfast travel to Bikaner (190 Kms / 4 hours). This desert city has a stark beauty which is totally unique, with wide-spread dunes, marvellous palaces and temples. On arrival check in at hotel. Later guided city tour visiting Junagarh Fort, made of red and pink sandstone, and has 37 domes inside and is surrounded by high walls with 30 feet trench around the fort. Ride Tonga a reasonable mode of transport and a source of fun. Wade through the narrow alleys of Old Bikaner City, passing through the bangle, spice and vegetable market, ‘Tea Street’ and ending at Jain Bhandeshwar Temple. Overnight.
Day 5 : Bikaner – Jaisalmer
This morning after breakfast guided visit to Camel Breeding Farm, to get taste the products made from the highly sweet camel milk like Ice cream, tea and coffee prepared from the Camel milk, a rarity itself. Later travel to Jaisalmer (340 Kms / 6 hours 30 mins), En-route visit Deshnoke , The city's Karni Mata temple. The temple dedicated to her provides sanctuary to mice in the belief that those who serve the Goddess are reborn as mice. On arrival check in at hotel. Overnight.
Day 6 : Jaisalmer
This morning after breakfast guided visit to the only living fort in the world, Jaisalmer Fort. Take a stroll in the narrow streets of the Golden city and get a glimpse of the life style of the locals. Visit the Jain Temple followed by visit to the beautifully carved Nathmalji Ki Haveli. Later evening enjoy camel ride on its exotic sand dunes. En-route stop at Kuldhara – the abandoned village now believed to be haunted. It was the largest of 84 villages belonging to Paliwal Brahmins, all of which were abandoned on a single night in 1825. Overnight.
Day 7 : Jaisalmer – Khimsar
Today morning drive to Khimsar (300 Kms / 5 hours), enroute visit the golden Jain temple in the desert village of Osian. Evening at leisure to visit the Khimsar fort. Overnight.
Day 8 : Khimsar – Jodhpur – Luni
This morning travel to Jodhpur (95 Kms / 2 hours), also known as the ancient kingdom of Marwar. On arrival guided city tour of Jodhpur visiting Mehrangarh Fort; one of the largest forts in India. Visit the Jaswant Thada and later proceed to visit Old city; surrounded by a 10km long wall, has 8 gates serving as entrances, the winding streets offer colourful street markets with blue houses alternated with white houses and Clock tower. Get yourself painted with Henna, it has served as a symbol of good luck, health and sensuality in the Indian sub-continent. Later continue your travel to Luni (50 Kms / 1 hour). Overnight
Day 9 : Luni – Narlai
Today morning after breakfast you will meet and interact with the Bishnoi villagers, and are known to the world over for their love and protection for animals and plant life. They also have a unique ceremony, called the opium ceremony in which a very mild amount of opium is diluted in water and a few sips are offered to guests and all present. Later continue travel to Narlai (170 kms / 4 hours), en-route visit to Ranakpur Jain Temples. Narlai is 15th century village making a picturesque base for exploring the true India - local countryside situated at a short distance from the town of Ranakpur. On arrival check in at hotel. Later proceed for a village walk. Overnight.
Day 10 : Narlai – Udaipur
Morning wake up to the sounds of this 17th century village, and take in the spiritual energy from the fresh air descending down from the Shiva temple, stroll through the small bazaar. Later continue travel to Udaipur (130 Kms / 3 hours), also known as the City Of Lakes, the Venice of the East or the Kashmir of Rajasthan. On arrival check in at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight
Day 11 : Udaipur
This morning after breakfast proceed for a guided tour visiting City Palace & its complex. Later visit Jagdish Temple, dating back to 1651 AD, it is an exquisite example of Indo Aryan architecture. Visit the Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir, an Indian folk arts museum. Conclude your day enjoying a boat ride on Lake Pichola. Created in the year 1362 AD, named after the nearby Picholi village. Rest of the evening explore narrow windings streets of Udaipur for souvenir to take back home. Overnight.
Day 12 : Udaipur – Deogarh
This morning travel to Deogarh (130 Kms / 3 hours) en-route visiting Eklingji and Nagda temples. On arrival check-in at hotel. Later proceed for Rural Train Ride from Phulad to Khamblighat by a local train across the Aravalli range is a pleasant experience. The train traverses the hills in one gradual giant right turn switchback, all the while gaining gently in elevation. Transfer back from station to the hotel. Rest of the day free to explore the colourful village and bazaar. Overnight.
Day 13 : Deogarh - Pushkar
This morning travel to Pushkar (170 Kms / 4 hours), lying along the bank of the picturesque Pushkar Lake. Later afternoon visit Pushkar Lake and Brahma temple; the only one of its kind in the world. This is a city of pilgrimage from time immemorial with over 500 temples and ghats, with each ghat having its own miraculous qualities and healing powers. Overnight.
Day 14 : Pushkar - Jaipur
Early morning sunrise visit to Savitri Temple, dedicated to the desolated wife of Lord Brahma, Savitri. The temple was built in 1687, on the top of the Ratnagiri Hill behind the Bramha Temple. Both the idols of Savitri and Gayatri are installed here. Return hotel and continue travel to Jaipur (170 kms / 4 hours). On arrival check-in at hotel. Jaipur is renowned for textile block printing, blue pottery, carpet weaving, semi-precious stones. Overnight.
Day 15 : Jaipur
After breakfast visit Amber Fort, enroute photo stop at Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace). Later visit City Palace Museum; boasts to have some of the priceless handwritten Hindu scriptures, miniature delicate paintings, the elephant saddles (haudas). Conclude your day with visit to Jantar Mantar; one of the famed observatories. Overnight
Day 16 : Jaipur – Agra
Travel to Agra, home to India's most famous landmark, the Taj Mahal. En-route visit Abhaneri Stepwell, one of the largest stepwells in India. An hour before Agra, stop at Fatehpur Sikri, built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar to honor the Saint Salim Chisti. On arrival check-in at hotel. Overnight.
Day 17 : Agra – Delhi
Early morning visit to Taj Mahal (closed on Friday), a UNESCO Heritage Site, to catch the sun rising over the Taj Mahal. Return to hotel for breakfast. Visit Agra Fort, built by Emperor Akbar, which is a mixture of the Islamic and Hindu styles of architecture. Also visit Itmad-ud-Daula Tomb; nicknamed as baby Taj. Later travel to Delhi (210 Kms / 4 hours). Overnight.
Day 18 : Depart Delhi
After breakfast transfer to airport to take your flight to onward destination.
