Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Tbilsi - Telavi - Omalo

  Depart from Tbilisi to Tusheti. On the way short stop at Alaverdi cathedral (11th century), which is an outstanding example of medieval Georgian architecture. The cathedral is an architectural complex surrounded by a fortification. The complex includes medieval refectory, the bell tower with defense wall and the summer palace. Afterwards, we continue way to Tusheti. The mountain road is steep and rough; along the way we pass wonderful forest followed by open mountain scenery. Have a lunch in nature. Crossing the Abano pass at the elevation of 2976 m, we descend to the mountainous Tusheti province. We reach village Omalo (2100 m) and the Castle Keselo, have a dinner and overnight in the guest house.
• Day 2 : Omalo - Dartlo - Kvavlo - Dano - Tchesho - Parsma - Girevi - Tchesho

  We will start our trip early in the morning after breakfast and visit some beautiful villages. The route will go along the north slope of the watershed range Gonta. It gradually will drop down crossing Alazani River by bridge and we will arrive in the beautiful village Dartlo, attracting its visitors with ancient architectural assembly and impressive landscape. The village is included in the world’s Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. Explore surroundings of the village and continue the way towards the direction of village Kvavlo. Following the road we will pass through villages Dano, Tchesho, Parsma and Girevi. The last one is situated in the open area, where two rivers join together and make a beautiful sight. From village Girevi, we will drive back to Tchesho for dinner and overnight at the guest house.
• Day 3 : Tchesho - Shenaqo - Tbilisi

  Early in the morning we start going down towards the village of Shenako, which is located on the southern slope of the great Caucasus and is situated on 2080 m above sea level. Archeological excavations, carried out in Shenako, revealed a terrace type settlement, characteristic to this mountainous area. Around the village there are grasslands and unique variety of pine woodlands, where we will have a lunch and return to Tbilisi.
