Package Overview

We will begin our one day Gurugram to Delhi Trip early in the morning. Our cab will arrive at your hotel or home and we will roughly take forty-five minutes to an hour to reach our first place of interest, Qutub Minar. It is one of the tallest minarets and starting our Delhi sightseeing tour from here will be a good kick-start.

We will then visit the Lotus Temple which is constructed in the shape of a lotus and is dedicated to the Bahá’í Faith.

From here we will head towards the Humayun’s Tomb which has the burials of the Mughal Emperor Humayun. Next, we will visit its cousin monument, Safdarjung Tomb, which looks very similar to Humayun’s tomb, yet both of them have their unique charm.

We would then head towards the Rashtrapati Bhawan and the India gate, both of which are located closely and were constructed during the British era. Lastly, we will pay our respects to Guru Harkishan Sahib at the Bangla Sahib Gurudwara.

After sitting by the Sarovar for a while, we will head back to Gurgaon and our cab will drop you to your place of origin.

Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 : One Day Gurugram to Delhi Trip by Car

    1. Qutub Minar
The first sightseeing place in our One Day Gurgaon to Delhi Trip by private car is the Qutub Minar. It is the tallest Minaret in Delhi and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is 73 metres in height and has a conical shape. The radius at the base is 7.16 metres and decreases to 1.37 metres at the peak.

This heritage site is constructed using red sandstone and marble. There are Kufic inscriptions on them, most of which praise Mohammed Ghori. A notable feature is a circular staircase within the minaret which has over 379 steps which leads to the top.

The minaret has five storeys and its architecture seems different and distinct from the other floors. This is because the minaret was constructed by three different rulers of the Delhi Sultanate.

While its base was constructed by Qutub-ud-Din Aibak, it was his successor and son-in-law, Iltutmish who further added three storeys to the minaret. The finishing of the minaret and the last two storeys were added by Firoz Shah Tuglak.

Humayun’s tomb is an architectural marvel that’s constructed using Red Sand Stone and has white and black marble borders. It is 47 m in height and 91 m in width. Even though the primary architectural style is Mughal, it also draws inspiration from the Persian style considering his wife and the architect of the monument were both Persian.

The same complex also houses the tomb of Isa Khan Niyazi, Afsarwala and has the burials of many members and nobles of the Mughal Dynasty. This mausoleum is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a must-visit during your day trip to Delhi from Gurgaon.

It is surrounded by large gardens on all sides which makes it a preferred monument to visit and bask under the sun.

Unlike the other monuments in Delhi that have been constructed for Kings, this one had been built for a wazir of the Mughal Empire, named Safdarjung.

There is a central square chamber with eight divisions and the centre has a cenotaph that has the graves of Safdarjung and his wife. Surrounding the main chamber are four marble minarets at the corners.

This 138 feet tall structure is made with red sandstone and has a Triumphal Arch like architecture. It also strikes a close resemblance to the Gateway of India located in Mumbai.

On its pillars, the names of various soldiers are inscribed which was done as a tribute to their contribution to the nation. Beneath the arch, there is a glass frame within which a flame is permanently lit.
