Flying a kite is one of the most long-lasting recreational activities in Hue, attracting a large number of participants from children to the old people. It is not clear about the exact time when kites were born. It is said that, flying a kite was a game of children in countryside, and then the game spread and became popular in Hue royal citadel. If you are traveling with kids, this exciting full day program is especially prepared for you!

FULL ITINERARY

Among many places in the country, Hue City seems to be regarded as the most ideal for kite flying. Except on rainy days, hundreds of kites can be seen soaring in the sky over Hue Citadel every afternoon, to the cheer of lively families, both adults and children. Our tour guide will pick you up at the hotel and transfer to a family who has been traditionallly making fly kites, you can see with naked eyes and make all work stages by yourself: from sharpening bamboo, bending into frame, cutting cloth, sticking and completing fly kites under the guidance of enthusiastic craft men. Guest will have chance to have lunch with family before afternoon lesson, this is a great experience.
After making fly kites, guide will take you to Ngo Mon for flying a kite, you manage kite by solid string and balance it on the sky. That is fantastic emotion to experience.
