Gangasagar Pilgrimage, better known as Gangasagar Mela is the biggest attraction for hundreds of pilgrims and tourists during Makar Sankranti (mid-January). It is the biggest fair in held in West Bengal at Sagardwip, an island in the Sunderbans.

Every year thousands of pilgrims from all over India from different castes and creed attend this fair to take a holy dip at the confluence of the River Ganges and Bay of Bengal. If you want to be a part of this fair, you don’t have to be a pilgrims.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival Kolkatac

  Morning arrival Kolkata transfer to Sagar Island (about 4Hrs Journey by road and river), Check-in hotel/ guest house, lunch, free for personal activity, dinner overnight hotel/ guest house.
• Day 2 : Kolkata to Ganga Sagar (110 Kms, 4 Hrs)

  Morning tea, after holly bath Puja and visit to temples, local sightseeing. After lunch checkout and return Kolkata.
• Day 3 : Kolkata Temple Tour

  Morning breakfast Kolakta city tour (Temples and Museums), lunch at local restaurant free for shopping. Evening return hotel.
  
  Overnight stay at hotel.
• Day 4 : Departure from Kolkata

  Morning breakfast check-out hotel and Station / airport drop.
