Day 1 : ARRIVAL VARANASI
Arrival Varanasi Airport meet & Greet by our representative and transfer to the Hotel. Check in Hotel . Evening Visit Ganga Aarti Near Ganga Ghat . Overnight stay at Hotel In Varanasi.
About Varanasi Sarnath: Varanasi is regarded as an auspicious place of cremation among Hindus. It is a magical city where the most intimate rituals of life and death take place in public on the city's famous Ghats. In past, the city has been known as Kashi & Benares, but its present name is a restoration of an ancient name meaning the city between two rivers - Varuna and Assi. The site of Sarnath has been one of the most sacred sites of Buddhism since Lord Buddha preached his first sermon after attaining His enlightenment at Bodhgaya.
Day 2 : VARANASI / ALLAHABAD / VARANASI.
After Breakfast Drive to Allahabad, Visit Sangam, Allahabad Fort, Anad Bhawan, return to Varanasi. Overnight stay in Varanasi.
About Allahabad: The city of Allahabad is among the largest cities of Uttar Pradesh and situated at the confluence of three rivers- Ganga, Yamuna and the invisible Saraswati. The meeting point is known as Triveni and is especially sacred to Hindus. The earlier settlements of the Aryans were established in this city, then known as Prayag” Prayagasya Praveshshu Papam Nashwati Tatkshanam. All sins are cleaned with entry in Prayag ( the ancient name of modern time Allahabad) PRAYAG is one of the historic and mythological cities of India with glorious past and present. It continues to enjoy the distinction of being a place of haunting and lasting memories. It is a city of mixed culture of Hindu, Muslims, Jains and Christians.
Day 3 : VARANASI / BODHGAYA
After breakfast check out the hotel than visit Ganga Ghat. We Rise before dawn to go for a boat ride on the river Ganges. As the boatman starts rowing the boat the daily activities at the Ghats unfolds which can be very interesting for a new visitor. Later we explore the city by foot to get the feel of this ancient city. Also visit Banaras Hindu University, Tulsi Manas temple & Bharat Mata temple. Then drive to Bodhgaya. Evening Arrive in Bodhgaya check in Hotel . Overnight stay in Hotel Bodhgaya.
About Bodhgaya : Bodhgaya is the place where 2500 years ago in the 6th century BC, Siddhartha attained enlightenment under a banyan tree to become the Buddha. Bodhgaya is also the Spiritual home of the Buddhists. The Mahabodhi temple is located at the place of Lord Buddha’s enlightenment. It is believed to be the same temple which Xuanzang (also known as Hieuen Tsang) visited in 7th Century. The temple has been restored and rebuilt over the centuries. A large circular stone with the Buddha's footprints is kept in a small shrine on the left. In the same temple complex is the Bodhi Tree, Which is said to be the descendent of the tree under which Buddha attained enlightenment.
Day 4 : BODHGAYA / RAJGIR / NALANDA / BODHGAYA
Post breakfast drive to Rajgir. Visit the – Gridhkuta (Vulture’s peak) – a hill on which Buddha meditated. Bimbisara’s prison – King Bimbisara was imprisoned here by his son Ajatsatru. Also visit Venuvan Vihara - a bamboo garden of King Bimbisar which he gifted to Lord Buddha. Later proceed to Nalanda and take a guided visit of very interesting ruins of Nalanda University (the centre of one of the oldest known universities of the world). The ruins contain a number of Buddhist Stupas & Chaityas, Monasteries, hostels, rooms on four sides with the central courtyard. Evening Return to Bodhgaya. Overnight stay at Hotel Bodhgaya.
About Rajgir & Nalanda: During the lifetime of the Buddha Rajgir was the capital of the Magadha Empire. In the rock cut caves here the Buddha spent many rainy seasons, meditating and preaching.. The teachings of the Buddha were penned down at Rajgir and it was also the venue for the first Buddhist council. Just 15 Kms away we arrive Nalanda which is the location of the ancient Buddhist University built in 5th Century AD. This great seat of learning flourished until 12th Century AD. of Buddha’s Nirvana
Day 5 : DEPARTURE VARANASI. ( 260 Kms/ 8 hrs)
Morning Visit Mahabodhi temple, Lord Buddha 80 Feet Statue, Bhutanese Temple, Sujata Village, back to the Hotel take breakfast .then departure Transfer Varanasi Airport board the flight back to the own destination.
