Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Delhi - Haridwar (205 Kms. 06 Hrs Drive)

  Upon arrival meet our representative and drive over to Haridwar and check-in at Hotel. In the evening watch the aarti at Har ki Pauri. Overnight stay at hotel.
  
  Haridwar lies at the footsteps of Lord Shiva's hills, i.e., Shivaliks, in the Haridwar district of Uttaranchal Pradesh. Here Suryavanshi prince Bhagirath performed penance to salvage his ancestors souls who perished due to sage Kapila's curse. The penance was answered and the river Ganga trickled forth from Lord Shiva's locks and its bountiful water revived sixty thousand sons of king Sagara. Continuing with the tradition, devout Hindus stand in Bhagirathi's or Ganga's sacred waters, praying for their departed elders' salvation. The 'Aarti' or the worship of the Ganga after sunset and floating 'Dia' (lamps) is a moving ritual.

• Day 2 : Haridwar - Uttarkashi - Gangotri (Drive 267 Kms, 08 hrs)

  In the morning leave for Gangotri via Uttarkashi. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. The evening is reserved for Darshan of Shree Gangotri Ji and performing Arti of Shree Bhagirathi River. Stay overnight at Gangotri.
  
  Gangotri, the 18th century temple constructed by Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa. It is near the spot where the goddess Ganga descended from heaven, answering to the prayers of King Bhagirath. The revered shrine of Gangotri is situated at an altitude of 3,200 mts. amidst sylvan surroundings. It constitutes one of the most important pilgrimages for devout Hindus. Lord Shiva received her in his matted locks breaking her falling force. From here it broke in many streams and the one which started from Gangotri was called Bhagirathi. The Pandavas, it is said, came here to perform the great 'Deva Yajna' to atone for their kinsmens' death in the epic battle of Mahabharata. The temple itself is situated on the right bank of the Bhagirathi.
• Day 3 : Gangotri - Bhojvasa (18 Kms. trek)

  In the morning start your trek to Bhojvasa via Chirvasa. On arrival Check in at the Tent or Guest House. Stay overnight at Bhojvasa.
• Day 4 : Bhojvasa - Gaumukh - Bhojvasa (05 kms trek one way)

  Start your early morning trek to Gaumukh. On arrival you are free to explore. Later trek down to Bhojvasa for your overnight stay.
  
  Gaumukh is where Ganga's water trickles down from the glaciers. The sages called it 'Gaumukh', because unlike today, in the distant past, it probably appeared like a cow's mouth. The Gaumukh glacier is the source of Bhagirathi (Ganga) and is held in high esteem by the devouts who do not miss the opportunity to have the holy dip in the bone chilling icy water. It is 18 kms. from Gangotri. There is a Tourist Bungalow at Bhojbasa, 14 kms. from Gangotri where lodging and other facilities are available. From Gangotri we move along the beaten track towards Chirbasa, which is on the tree line. From here, we can get a clear view of the Bhagirathi Peak.
• Day 5 : Bhojvasa - Gangotri - Uttarkashi (18 Kms trek + 100 Kms drive)

  Take the morning trek down to Gangotri. Upon arrival, meet the driver and drive over to the hotel at Uttarkashi for your overnight stay.
• Day 6 : Uttarkashi - Rishikesh (145 kms. Drive 6 hrs.)

  Again take the morning drive to Rishikesh via Dharasu Band and Chamba. On arriving Rishikesh check in at the hotel. In the evening visit Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula. Stay overnight at the hotel.
  
  Rishikesh is barely 24 Kms. from Haridwar. Located in the laps of lower Himalayas and is surrounded by hills on three sides with the holy Ganga flowing through it. The whole place is considered to be sacred as it is believed that meditating here leads to salvation. There are many temples, some ancient and some new along the riverside. Rishikesh is important not only as pilgrimage centre closely associated with Ramayana, but also as home for many important Hindu religion centers' thought and spirituality. It has a very great Yoga Centre too! There are many ashrams and Yoga institutes here. Rishikesh is also the gateway and the start-off point for journeys to important religious places like Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri.
• Day 7 : Rishikesh - Delhi (230 Kms. 6 - 7 hrs)

  Drive off in the morning to Delhi. Upon your arrival, we drop you at the Airport / Railway station for onward journey.
