Gomukh is place in Gangotri glacier where the Bhagirathi river originates. Bhagirathi River is also famous as River Ganges. The official river Ganges starts at Devprayag when Bhagirathi river merged with river Alaknanda. The Gaumukh is located at at the height of 13,200 fts. Gomukh means "Mouth of a Cow". Gomukh is 18 kms far from Gangotri town by walk. The trek is very hard and only a few people dare to reach here, thats why the whole area is still best for nature lovers without pollution. Trekking permit is required to reach Gaumukh which is issued at Uttarkashi.Gaumukh Tapovan TrekGangotri is exquisite alpine country. Deodars march in serried ranks and gorges plunge,sliced by the bustling Bhagirathi. The drive will take you past the settlement of Bhairon Ghati and into the single traffic-choked streets of Gangotri. Here the river is joined by its tributary, the Kedar Ganga, rising in the glacier lake of Kedar Tal. Together they gush down the toffee-colored rocks of Gauri Kund and flow down the Himalayas. Here too. Celebrated in Hindu mythology and religion, the Garhwal Himalayas are said to be the "Abode of the Gods". The river Ganges takes its source in this remote massif, at the sacred shrine of Gangotri, and rushes down to the plains in a torrential fury. The Nandan Van trek should really be called the Gangotri-Gaumukh-Nandadevi-Tapovan Trek. It is particularly interesting because it offers a wide variety of Himalayan trekking experiences: rock climbing, and glacier traversing. Nevertheless, it is considered to be a trek which even non-mountaineers can undertake fairly comfortably. Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Haridwar- Gangotri (08 hrs drive) Altitude : 3100 Mts/ 9920 FT

  GANGOTRI is the place where holy river Ganga descended on the earth. The Gangotri Temple is dedicated to Goddess Ganga. One can take dip in holy river & can visit Gangotri Temple Overnight at hotel

• Day 2 : Gangotri- Bhojwasa (14 kms trek/06-07 hrs) Altitude : 3790 Mts/ 12130 FT

  Today start trek to BHOJWASA via Chirbasa
  We go ahead all along the flattened track heading towards Chirbasa, which is an adobe of the Chir trees. The entire trek today is beside the garrulous Bhagirathi River. Ahead of Chirbasa the landscape becomes
  really barren. In fact, it is referred as Arctic Tundra by a few trekkers. From Chirbasa we will hike further to Bhojwassa, the on the way of the entire trail we pass through dense forest and reach at Bhojwassa.

• Day 3 : Bhojwasa- Gomukh-Tapovan Early morning trek to Gomukh (2-3 hrs trek) - Altitude : 3890 Mts/12450 FT

  GOMUKH is the source of the Ganges. It is the place where the water of Ganga trickles downwards from the glaciers. The sages called it ‘Gomukh’, since in the distant ancient times; it possibly appeared like the mouth of a cow After experiencing the place, continue trek to Tapovan (3-4 hrs trek)- Altitude : 4465 Mts/14288 FT
  
  TAPOVAN is known for its stunning and extensive meadows with sparkling streams, and wild flowers.
  Tapovan is base camp of the Shivling peak also. It is the base camp for various expeditions that includes Bhagirathi peak, Shivling peak etc

• Day 5 : Tapovan- Nandan Van (4-5 hrs) – Altitude 4810 Mts/15390 FT

  Today’s trek descent down towards Nandanvan is the most beautiful experience of your life.
  The Tapovan Nandanvan trekking trail takes you through the glacier with the rocky path. Nandanvan is also a magnificent viewpoint of the majestic Shivling peak -the Matterhorn of the Himalayas, Meru, Kedardome & Kedarnath peaks.
  Upon arrival here, pitch your Camp Overnight at Camp

• Day 6 : Nandan Van – Bhojwasa (5-6 hrs trek)

  Today drive to Rishikesh. Upon arrival check in at hotel

Rishikesh, also known as the “Place of Sagas” is a spiritual town. The whole place is considered to be sacred as it is believed that meditation at this place leads to attainment of salvation Later sightseeing of Rishikesh

PAYMENT TERMS: -

• • 50% of the total billing amount to be paid in advance at the time of booking confirmation.
• • 25% of the total billing amount to be paid 30 days prior to the travel date.
• • Balance 25% of the total billing amount to be paid 15 days prior to the travel date.
• • In case the booking is made within 30 days of travel 75% of the amount to be paid at the time of confirmation and if the booking is made within 15 days of travel, 100% advance is required at the time of confirmation.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

• • Booking date to 60 days prior to date of arrival – No cancellation charges. Only a convenience fee of Rs. 1000.00 per person will be charged for domestic trips and for international trips convenience fee would be INR. 2000.00 per person
• • If the booking is cancelled 60-30 Days prior to date of arrival - 25% of the total bill will be charged.
• • If the booking is cancelled 29-16 Days prior to date of arrival – 50% of the total bill will be charged.
• • If the booking is cancelled 15 Days less prior to date of arrival – 100% of the total bill will be charged.
