Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Njp Railway Station / Ixb (Bagdogra Airport) - Gangtok

Pick up at NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport. Transfer to Gangtok (5500ft /130kms / 04 hrs.). Overnight stay at Hotel at Gangtok.
Day 2 : Tshomgo Excursions

Morning at around 07.30 am proceeding for Tshomgo Lake 54kms / 03 hrs. (A Beautiful lake which is situated at the Height of 13,200 ft With an Average depth of 50 ft perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. From Dec to Mid April it is covered by snow & surrounded by mountains which are snow covered nearly throughout the year) and Baba Mandir. Night stay at Gangtok.

(In case of Land slide or any other reason Tshango Lake is closed we will provided alternate sightseeing
Day 3 : Gangtok- Lamahatta - Darjeeling

After breakfast transfer towards Darjeeling.On the way you can cross the rangpu border sikkima nd west Bengal border. processed to your onwards journey on the way you will get to see lush tea garden, teesta view point ( from where you get to see two rivers connecting and forming one river), you also cross teesta bridge. There will be a short tea break at lopchu ( famous for par after tea break is over is over processed to your onwards journey on the way you will get to see lush tea garden. on the way to darjeeling there will be lamahatta sight seen lamahatta is a word derived from people wearing bukus similar to buddist monks’ as lama. So place know as lamahatta from the British time. At an altitude of 6800ft. lamahatta is a clam and a peaceful place with pin tress standing majestically with the loaming mount Kanchenjunga in the fore front. The Buddhist prayers flags fluttering at the slight breeze were 500 years old Buddhist monastery is situated just 20 min walk. The inhabitance are mostly tribal Buddhist people like dukpa. Sherpa, yalmos. After the sight seen is over processed to darjeeling. evening free for leisure. Ove night at darjeeling hotel.
Day 4 : Darjeeling City Tour

Early morning tour to Tiger Hills (at around at 4am) to morning view sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak (subject to clear weather ) on your way back visit Batasia Loop & Ghoom Monastery . After Breakfast city tour of Darjeeling visit Padmaja Naidu Himalaya Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, (Closed on Thursday), Happy Valley Tea Estate, Tenzing Rock & Gombu Rock & Tibetan Refugee Self – Help Center (Closed on Sunday). After lunch visit White Pagoda, Ava Art Gallery, Dirham Temples & Natural History Museum. Overnight stay at Hotel

Day 5 : Darjeeling- Ixb Bagdogra/ Njp Railway Station\

After breakfast leave darjeeling and proceed towards – NJP railway station/Bagdogra Airport (108 kms / 4 hrs) for your onward journey.

We had booked 10 days all inclusive package for Darjeeling & Sikkim from Utkarsh Travels in June. I cannot say enough good things about this Utkarsh Travels! we decided to spend 2 weeks traveling through Sikkim and Darjeeling. I researched extensively for a travel company who could put together the perfect itinerary for us and I am so grateful that I did find Utkarsh travels. Mr Raj Chhettri helped me put together an itinerary that made the most sense given where we wanted to cover all or most of the key tourist spots in the area. Mr. Raj Chhettri set us up with the best drivers who were also tour guides in each city. I must have exchanged a hundred emails and phone calls during our tour, and he was always so responsive, gracious and informative. The hotels Raj Chhettri arranged for us were of top class in facility (Bed, Food, Wifi etc), location and brands and we were given enough details about our stay ahead of time so we knew what our experiences would be. Not to mention the Darjeeling Gorkha land upset during June/July, we were apprehensive to visit there as our son flight back to USA was scheduled in same week. Raj Chhettri was so diligent that he kept giving us update on the progress on a daily basis and flexible enough proactively to update our itinerary to avoid Darjeeling but yet to cover another city (which is safe) and also worth spending time. We had also requested to visit couple other local spots and Utkarsh travel was very kind to accommodate those in our trip at no extra cost. Mr Raj Chhettri (who is also apparently the owner) show up personally to thank us for our business a night before our flight back to Delhi, in Siliguri. Just for fun my wife asked where do we get the best Rasugulla, he was so gracious and also took us by surprise when he showed up with best Rasugulla within an hour back to hour hotel. Thats speak to the level of customer service Utkarsh Travel has to provide. Our confidence and experience in Utkarsh travel excelled further we were waiting at airport for departure and we overheard at-least 3-4 other groups came for vacation thru some other package tour companies and had a terrible experience that their travel agencies did not even pick their phone calls during the Darjeeling upset and as a result they were spending couple nights at airport. This was a truly customized trip of a lifetime for us, friends and family, and we will never forget the amazing times we shared together, all courtesy of this travel company. We are utterly grateful.
