East Sikkim is the most populous and commercially developed district in Sikkim. It includes the state capital, Gangtok, which serves as the gateway for most visitors to Sikkim. This region is known for its rich culture, monasteries, and scenic landscapes, blending modernity with traditional Sikkimese heritage.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : BAGDOGRA AIRPORT/ NJP RAILWAY STATION TO GANGTOK

  Our representative will be there to receive you at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (Junction) - you will be assisted for the transfer to Teesta - On the way to Gangtok you will able to see this junction. The river Rangeet with its deep green and crystal clear water gushes in and meets the forceful mountain stream Teesta at a point called Triveni. The confluence takes place on relatively flat terrain, and is surrounded by mountains on all sides. It is the most visited - Nearly 124 kms 5 hours drive - check into the hotel. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

• Day 2 : GANGTOK SIGHTSEEING

  Start for a Full day city tour covering Enchey Monastery, Tashi view point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Flower Show, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Center, Institute of Tibetology, Ropeway, Banjhakri falls, Ornamental plants & Himalayan Zoological Park. maximum 6 hours. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

• Day 3 : GANGTOK TO TSOMGO LAKE & NATHULA PASS

  After breakfast, we started for an excursion to Tsomgo lake,which has a different charm as the lake is situated at 12,400 feet whereas Gangtok is at 5,500 feet. Change of vegetation altitudinal varieties is a must to observe. Lake is regarded as sacred as the meaning itself speaks of the head of the lake. Through a winding road with Rhododendron bushes and shrubs and especially during the winter season-carpeted by snow, arrive at Nathula after 14 kms. Nathula (14,600 feet) is an Indi-Chinese picket and only passes to cross over to Tibet. 3 kms of drive through a beautiful landscape, arrive at Baba mandir (13000 feet), Baba Harbhajan Sahib Mandir is a wishful temple, people offer prayers and seek fulfillment of wishes. Later returned to Gangtok. Nathula is confirmed only on the availability of permits. Nathula is an optional tour, payment has to be done to the driver directly which comes to Rs.1500/per car. The Cost of the pass is extra, depending on the number of adults. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

• Day 4 : GANGTOK TO LACHUNG

  After Breakfast proceeds to Lachung 128 km, 6 hours drive, Enroute visit ButterFly Waterfall / Seven Sister waterfall, Naga waterfall, Chungthang, Lachen a tribal village in one of the remotest places of Sikkim. Snow clad peaks overlook the village. Lachen experiences heavy snowfall during winter and it is the gateway to Gurudongmar Lake (17,300 feet. Overnight stay at Lachung.

• Day 5 : LACHUNG SIGHTSEEING & BACK TO GANGTOK

  Set out for an early morning tour to the Bhim nala fall also known as Amitabh Bachchan fall due to its height. The water fall is falling from a very High Mountain and it looks like a three stage water fall, at a Distance of 13 km from Lachung, one of the Tallest waterfalls in Sikkim. Yumthang (11880 feet), valley covered with snow-clad mountains with a large number of species of Rhododendrons and varieties of Primula Flowers. They bloom during spring and the summer. Further drive to Yumesamdong (15000 feet) or locally known as zero point for 26 kms. Drive through a hilly-winding road and arrive at Yumesamdong where there is a hot spring and the mountains are crystal clear. Most of the time Yumesamdong has snow in abundance. Zero Point is an optional tour, payment has to be done to driver directly which comes to Rs.400/per car, later return to Lachung, Lunch further drive to Gangtok. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
