Sikkim is a state in northeast India, bordered by Bhutan, Tibet, and Nepal. Sikkim is a smallest state part of the Himalayas the area has a dramatic landscape that includes India’s highest mountain 8,586m Kanchenjunga. Sikkim is also home to glaciers, alpine meadows and thousands of varieties of wildflower steep paths lead to hilltop Buddhist monasteries such as Pemayangtse which dates to the early 17005.Sikkim is the 22nd state of India came into existence with effect from 26th April, 1975. Sikkim has been divided into four districts and each district has further been bifurcated into two subs – divisions for administrative purpose. The highest portion of Sikkim lies into North West direction. A largest number of mountains having altitudes of about seven thousand meters stand here with Kanchenjunga (8598m) the third highest peak in the world. The high serrated snow-capped spurs and peaks of Kanchenjunga a look attractive consisting of Mt. Kumbha karna (7711m), Mt. Pandim (6706m), Mt. Narsingh (5825m), Mt.Kabro dome (6545m) , Mt. Kabur (7386m) etc. The local language is Nepali, English is the official language.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : MEET & GREET ON ARRIVAL AT BAG IXB/NJP RAILWAY STATION & TRANSFER TO GANGTOK

  (Distance: 2,599 kms/Duration:3-4hrs) Our Driver will be there to receive you at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station(NJP). He will be assisting and transfer to Gangtok. Gangtok is the Capital of Sikkim Suits all Form tranquillity to adventure, land of the monastery, mystic rituals & festivals at a height of 1670 meters/ 5480 feet and is the most visited spot of India - It is one of the most beautiful towns with varieties.of Rhododendron, Orchids and butterflies- Nearly 135 kilometers 3-4 hours drive- Check into hotel- Evening free to roam around MG Road (Mall) or Local Shopping centre- Overnight Stay at Gangtok.

• Day 2 : EXCURSION TO CHANGU LAKE/BABA MANDIR

  (Distance: 53 kms/Duration:3-4hrs) After breakfast start for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir,Cool, serene water and the picturesque beauty- Tsomgo lake is one of the holy lakes of the region- A temple of Lord Shiva is built on the lakeside - Primula flower and other alpine plantation provide an immaculate beauty to this place- Till April it is full of snow and lay frozen- Back to the hotel after a long journey take rest and night stay at Gangtok. (In case of Land sLIde or any other reason tsomgo Lake Is cLosed we wILL provIde aLternate sIghtseeIng.) **IssUance of permIt for nathULa pass depends Upon the avaILaBILIty. • Day 3 : TRANSFER TO LACHEN FROM GANGTOK

  Distance: 135 km,Duration: 5 – 6 hours Early morning breakfast – Drive 135 kilometers, 5 – 6 hours’ drive - Chungthang is 96 kilometers from Gangtok – Lunch at Chungthang – Lachen is 35 kilometers from Chungthang Reach Lachen late afternoon / early evening - In fact the village cradled between stern, tall rock faces standing like guards – A hamlet with very few people – It almost like this town is hidden from the outside – Like a Shangri - La – Check into a hotel - Welcome Tea – Evening free to stroll and visit the Lepcha Village – Overnight stay at Hotel in Lachen.

• Day 4 : EXCURSION TO GURUDONGMAR LAKE & TRANSFER TO LACHUNG

  Distance: 55 km,Duration: 2-3 hours
  
  Early morning breakfast – Visit to Gurudongmar Lake 55 kilometers, 2 ½ - 3 ½ hour’s drive - A valley at an altitude of 11, 800 feet through which Lachen Chu flows, generally covered with snow from December to April or even more is known as the Holy / Sacred Lake - Next drive through the cold desert till Tibet / China back to Resort for Lunch – After lunch drive to Lachung - The region is fully covered with Rhododendron forest with Chopta Valley and Thangu as the other places of interest - Back to hotel for lunch - After lunch proceed to Lachung – Nearly 50 kilometers and two hours’ drive – Check into hotel at Lachung Evening free to visit Lachung Monastery - Overnight stay at Hotel at Lachung .

• Day 5 : YUMTHANG SIGHTSEEING TRANSFER TO GANGTOK

  (Distance- 140.8 kms/Duration- 5-6 hrs) Early morning breakfast- After breakfast drive towards Yumthang situated at an elevation of nearly 11800 feet- It is approximately 26 kilometers and is nearly 02 hours’ drive- On the way back one can visit the famous hot spring which is known for its curative properties of skin diseases- Yumthang is a valley near the river Lachung Chu surrounded by mountain where the tree line ends- In spring valley erupts in riots of colours as Primulae, Rhododendrons and many other Alpine flowers in full bloom along with snow all around and the snow clad mountains adding to the beauty- Yumesamdong (Zero Point) is optional tour- Return to Lachung for lunch. After lunch drive to Gangtok - It is approximately 130 kilometers and is nearly 05 to 06 hours’ drive by rough road- Reach Gangtok & Check into hotel- Evening free to roam around M G Road (Mall) or local Shopping centre- Overnight Stay at Gangtok.

  After breakfast drive for the city tour of Gangtok. Sightseeing will be for full day hence the drive will be bit fast from each point - It is not possible to visit all the places hence some of the places are selected for the guest- Guest are required to maintain that time with the driver- Visit to Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom, Research Institute of Tibetology, Do Drul Chorten (Stupa), Enchey Monastery, White Hall, Flower Show, Hanuman Tok, Ganesh Tok, Ranka/Rumtek Monastery and Tashi View point are some more places of Tourist interest. Back to Hotel- Evening free to roam around M G Road (Mall) or Local Shopping central or visit any of the discotheques in central Gangtok. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

  After breakfast drive to Siliguri/Bagdogra Airport (IXB) New Jalpaiguri Railway Station. The Drive is through hill and with scenic beauty- stoppage at Rangpo/Chitrey or Melli for a cup of Tea is advisable if time permits. One stop coronation bridge if time permits. Drive to Bagdogra/Njp.
