Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Delhi – Gaya By Overnight Train

  Evening Catch Rajdhani Express Train at: 1655 hrs. Overnight Train Journey.

• Day 2 : In Gaya

  Arrive Gaya Station at: 0400 hrs. On arrival pick up and transfer to hotel. Pind Dan can be done all the year but it is better to perform Gaya sradha or Gaya Pind Dan during auspicious 18days pitri paksh mela or 7days, 5days, 3days or 1day amawasya with krishana paksh in any month. The auspicious 18 days Tri paksha sraddha or Pitripaksha mela,that is considered best days for offering oblations to the departed forefathers or any departed Family members, And this Auspicious 18days comes in every year in the month of September or October.And, An estimated 10 laces to 15 laces pilgrims arrive in the Gaya city during the Pitripaksh Mela. for GayaJi sraddha or Pind Dan Earlier pind Dan was performed around the year. There were 360 platforms where pind Dan was done with wheat and oat flour mixed with dried milk. Pind Dan is also performed symbolically with mud balls. Presently pind Dan is performed at Vishnu temple, Akshay,Vat,Phalgu and Punpun river, Ramkund, Sitakund, Brahm Mangalpuri, Kagbali, and with the five pilgrimages they together make 48 platforms where pind Dan is performed. Overnight Bodhgaya,

• Day 3 : Bodhgaya

  Breakfast at hotel. Full day sightseeing of Bodhgaya visit – Mahabodi Temple + Mahabodi Tree + Dungeshwari & Visit various Monasteries etc. Overnight Bodhgaya Hotel.

• Day 4 : Delhi

  Leave Gaya for Delhi by Rajdhani Express Train (2230 hrs.) Overnight Train Journey.

• Day 5 : Departure

  Arrive Delhi at: 1000 hrs. (Service end).

  Used the services of INB Vacations when i visited India for the first time in 2010. Mr Thakur and his team were very good in looking after us ........ in the planning stages Mr Thakur was very prompt in responding to all correspondence and also very flexible in accommodating all our needs. He chopped and changed the itineraries until we got it down to a tee. The execution of the trip was also on point.....as with everything ....there were a couple minor hiccups through no fault of the company or their staff but all were resolved efficiently, professionally and very promptly.
