Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Cairo

  Meet and assist on arrival at Cairo International Airport and after transfer to your pre-arranged hotel in Cairo. Rest of the day is at leisure to explore this city. Egypt was famously called the “Gift of the Nile” by Herodotus an early traveler who was drawn to Egypt to see what even then was considered one of the world’s most ancient and fascinating civilizations. Starting in the Egyptian capital Cairo. A River Nile through the timeless serene scenery of Upper Egypt is an almost unbeatable experience and the classic way to explore the grand monuments of Ancient Egypt’s Pharaohs. Overnight stay at Cairo.
• Day 2 : Cairo

  After breakfast proceed for Full Day Cairo city tour. Visit to great Pyramids of Giza area, the three Pyramids Cheops, Chephren and Mycrenos which are guarded by the mysterious Sphinx with the body of a lion and a human head. The Great Pyramids is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and the most important tourist site in Egypt. Later proceed to famous Egyptian Museum. This Museum houses about 2,50,000 antique pieces covering the whole history of ancient Egypt which extends over the past five thousand years. Later transfer to famous Khan Al – Khalily bazaar. Evening Sound and Light Show at Giza. Later return back to Hotel. Overnight stay at Cairo.

• Day 3 : Cairo – Bahariya Oasis (370 Km)

  After breakfast check out from Hotel and Drive to Bahariya Oasis ahead. Midway in the journey at 155 kms is a rest stop with a gas station and a cafeteria 22 kms. from the beginning of the road follows all the way to reach Managim.(First Village of Bahariya Oasis).Beyond Managim, continue to drive Bawiti. At 316 kms. The terrain changes and small conical hills begin to emerge.
  
  Arrival in Bawiti, we check in hotel and relax. Then we start tour of main attractions of the Oasis.
  First we go the see Museum of the Golden Mummies where 10 of Roman Golden Mummies in view selected from 10.000 intact Roman burial chambers discovered in the year 1990. Not far from the Museum, we head to slightly south of the spring are four 26th-Dynasty Chapels that together form the Temple of Ain al-Muftella. Climb down to see the colored Tomb of Noble Bannitu with its fascinating decoration of Universal Day.
  Then we visit small, two-chamber temple is the only place in Egypt where Alexander the Great's effigy and cartouche have been found. We take the spring of cold water is used by both tourists and locals as a swimming hole. It is cool and refreshing on hot desert days.
  Climbing the Black Mountain known as English Mountain. As on summit are the ruins of a World War I lookout post, which was manned by Captain Williams, after whom the mountain is sometimes called.
  Visit Gebel El Dist Locals call it Magic Mountain because of the way the light plays on the texture and material of the mountain during the different hours of the day. Return back to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Bahariya Oasis.
• Day 4 : Bahariya Oasis – Black Desert- Crystal Mountain- White Desert (140 Km With Stops)

  After Breakfast in hotel. We leave for Bahariya in a different world of Black and White Desert. We approach Sahara Suda, the Black Desert and favorite safari destination. We climb a 15 meter Sand Dune by 4WD and stop to take pictures of these mixtures of colors. Then visit Al Marsous Volcanic Hill and we reach Al Hyaz small village was very prosperous during Roman era. We stop for Picnic Lunch. Post Lunch will have the chance to get refreshment by swimming in one of the cold springs nearby.
  We drive to most famous formation is the Crystal Mountain, a large rock made entirely of quartz. Bit by bit the yellow desert sands east of the road start to become pierced by chalky rock formations. So you get further into the 300-sq-km White Desert Protectorate, you’ll notice that the surreal shapes start to take on familiar forms: Chickens, Ostriches, Camels, Hawks and other uncanny shapes abound. Two flat-topped mountains known as the Twin Peaks, a key navigation point for travelers. A favorite destination: the view from the top of the surrounding symmetrical hills, all shaped like giant anthills, is spectacular. Kids will delight in coming up with shape associations, the brilliant hues of the setting sun reflecting off the inselbergs’ shiny surfaces. Walking up amongst them is one of the highlights of any camping trip into the desert, evening Barbeque Dinner. Overnight stay in Tent at White Desert.
• Day 5 : White Desert- Farafra Oasis– Dakhla Oasis (40 Kms).

  After Breakfast in Camp. Drive to Farafra the smallest, yet one of the most prepossessing, of the main Western Desert Oasis. We stop to see the Museum of local painter Badr Abdel Moghny. Proceed to Dakhla oasis which was an important town in the Pharaonic and up through the Roman and Islamic periods, and each successive era has left its Monuments. Check in to Hotel Lunch in Local Restaurant.
  Start tour of Deir El Hagar Sandstone Temple to the Egyptian Gods Amun, Mut, Khonsu, and Seth was actually built by the Roman Emperor Nero. Then we visit medieval Ottoman town of Al Qasr with its chambers, dwelling rooms. The tomb of Sheikh Nasr el Din, the Ayubid Mosque, the restored house of Abu Nafir, or the ancient olive press. Dinner and overnight stay at Dakhla Oasis.
• Day 6 : Dakhla Oasis- Kharga Oasis–(190 Kms).

  After Breakfast, today we drive to the largest town in the Western Desert. Formerly used as a place of exile and punishment for at least 2,000 years by the Romans. Check in to Hotel. Lunch in Local Restaurant.
  We visit Al Bagawat Cemetery Built during the exile of Nestorius to the Oasis, considered one of the best-preserved Christian cemeteries from its era in the world. There are more than 260 domed mausoleums still standing, and several still have intact wall paintings. Designed to resemble the architecture of nearby Bagawat, this two-storey Museum is housed in a cavernous, well-lit building made from local bricks. Inside is a small but interesting selection of archaeological finds from around Al-Kharga and Dakhla Oases. Then we visit remains of Hibis and Nadura Temples from outside. Dinner and overnight stay in Hotel at Kharga Oasis.
• Day 7 : Kharga Oasis – Luxor–(390 Kms).

  After Breakfast check out from hotel. We reach the end of our adventure on the Western Desert Oasis; today we drive to Luxor and transfer to Luxor Airport for your onward journey with Sweet Memories Tour by Greenland Holidays.
