Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu; Transfer to Hotel, Evening a Welcome Dinner
Actually, Nepal opens in the air; just before the plane lands at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. If you are, lucky enough with the bright sunshine on your arrival day the wide range of soaring Himalayan Peaks to the North is a magnificent view. As you complete the immigration formalities of the airport and make your way out from the Arrivals Terminal, we would offer you a warm Nepalese welcome and transfer you to your hotel in Thamel in a private vehicle. At hotel, you will have a very easy check-in procedure. Let the flight exhaustion go off in the cozy hotel room. In the evening, we will offer you a welcome dinner in one of the finest cultural restaurants of the city.
Day 2 : Sightseeing Tour of Kathmandu
Kathmandu is the main cultural hub of Nepal. A city of temples and monasteries not only holds the nation’s most religious shrines, it is also a sacred valley where the living Gods and Goddess live with the mortals till the date. Today you will have a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu with the best tourist guide of the town. After the breakfast, we will escort you to Pashupatinath- the largest Hindu Temple of Nepal in a private vehicle. The temple dedicated to supreme Hindu God, Shiva banks Bagmati River. At Pashupatinath you will get to see exceptionally carved statues and idols of Hindu deities, a long row of Shiva-Lings, series of small temples and the golden hood at the top of main Temple is truly fascinating. Moreover, an opportunity to witness the Hindu Death ritual at Aryaghat Pashupatinath is an offbeat cultural experience. After the exploration of Pashupatinath we will walk along the busy streets of Kathmandu to Boudhanath. A large domed shaped Buddhist stupa, Boudhanath holds huge religious significance among the Tibetan Buddhists of Nepal. A major shrine on ancient Indo-China trade route Boudhanath offered blessings to traders and scholars for safe journey through the high Himalayan passes to Tibet. Saffron robed monks circumambulating Boudhanath, colorful prayer flags touching the skyline from the dome pinnacle to the base of large monument and the and outlets selling Tibetan souvenirs makes this place a true Tibet outside Tibet. Post lunch the sightseeing tour continues to Kathmandu Durbar Square. The exemplary wooden and stone craftsmanship at the site makes a place the prominent attraction for tourists. The stone paved streets, pagoda style religious monuments inclusive different Hindu deities are the cultural delights of ancient and medieval Nepal at Kathmandu Durbar Square. Today’s final destination for sightseeing tour in Kathmandu takes you to Swayambhunath. A self emerged Buddhist stupa lies on a hilltop overlooking Kathmandu with its watchful eyes. You will get to experience more about Tibetan Buddhism at Swayambhunath.After the full day sightseeing tour, a private vehicle will escort you to your hotel.
Day 3 : Drive to Pokhara; Evening Boating At Fewa Lake
After the breakfast, you will begin your journey towards Pokhara in a tourist bus. The ride to Pokhara is on a snakelike highway, which winds on the cliff above Himalayan Rivers like Trishuli, Marsyangdi and Seti. Six to seven hours of road journey will bring you to Pokhara. Pokhara is an enchanting town known for its unique geographical formation. Lakes, caves, gorges, hilltops and the views of mesmerizing Annapurna Himalayan Range and matchless Fishtail are exceptional highlights of Pokhara. On your arrival at Pokhara you will be transferred to your hotel in the city. In the evening we can enjoy the pleasant boating session in the crystal clear Fewa Lake.
Day 4 : Drive to Phedi and Trek to Dhampus 1750m
Today we begin the Ghandruk Circuit Trek. This fantastic trek starts from Phedi, which is an hour drive from Pokhara. The drive itself is interesting as we cross pass the spectacular fields and rural settlements to reach Phedi. As the Ghandruk Circuit Trek begins from Phedi we ascend along the pleasant forest and exceptional mountainous villages for the next 3 hours to reach the village nestled atop a Hill, Dhampus. Dhampus is one of the largest Gurung Settlements in Annapurna Region and hence we have plenty of opportunities to peep inside the thriving and authentic Gurung culture. Moreover, the views of Himalayas from Dhampus are exceptionally striking. Widespread chain of Himalayan panorama seen from Dhampus include the Annapurna south peaks of Annapurna range, the Fishtail, Dhaulagiri, Hiunchuli and Lanjung Himalamong others. Enjoy the peaceful vicinity in Dhampus and explore around. O/N at Dhampus.
Day 5 : Trek to Landruk 1640m
After the breakfast, our Ghandruk Circuit Trek resumes. We begin today’s trek with an uphill climb through rhododendron forests that brings us to Pothana. Yet another beautiful mountainous village, Pothana caters the exceptional view of Mt. Fishtail. Beyond Pothana the trek continues to ascend and after two hours of gradual ascending climb we arrive to a Pass at 2150m, which offers the magnificent views of Annapurna South and Huinchuli. Now the trek chases the descending trail through the beautiful forest full of rhododendrons, orchids, ferns and colorful birds we arrive to Beri Kharka, a small village nestling at the Canyon of Modi River. Further descending we cross a small stream and arrive to Landruk. Another popular Gurung Village in the region, Landruk lies on the east canyon Modi River well above its wall. From Landruk we can enjoy the striking views of Machhapuchhare (6920m), Annapurna south (7219m) and Hiunchuli (6441m). O/N at Landruk.
Day 6 : Trek to Ghandruk 2012m
After the breakfast, we will explore around the village. We will also savor the natural beauty in the neighborhood. Since today’s trek is relatively short, we will begin the trek a bit later. Today the trek initially drops down steeply to the Modi Khola through beautiful forest. The walk is pleasant. As we arrive to the River, we will continue the trek however, now we will be climbing steeply up- a typical trek in Nepal. After couple of hours climb we will arrive to Ghandruk- the famous village of Gurkha Warriors. On arriving Ghandruk we check in to one of the teahouses enjoy our lunch and set off to explore this beautiful mountain village located in the main trail of Annapurna Circuit, Annapurna Base Camp and Poonhill Ghorepani Treks. O/N at Ghandruk.
Day 7 : Explore Ghandruk and Hike to Ghandruk Kot
Ghandruk is a beautiful mountain village that nestles inside Modi Khola Valley. The home to brave Gurkha warriors, Ghandruk till date has preserved the legacy and authenticity of traditional Gurung culture their ancestors inherited them centuries ago. Today we first hike to Ghandruk Kot. Leaving behind the terraced hillsides we trek towrads Ghandruk Kot. It is almost one hour hike to the top of the hill above Ghandrk village from where we can observe the fascinating views of widespread Annapurnas, Fistail, Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri among others. We spend a little time there and hike back to Ghandruk. Enjoy our lunch and begin to explore the village. During the exploration of the Village, we can observe plenty of traditional activities. Traditional customs and languages can be experienced. O/N at Ghandruk.
Day 8 : Trek to Nayapul and Drive to Pokhara
Today we can enjoy a final downhill walk along the steep stony staircases to Kimche. From Kimche the pleasant downhill jungle walk would bring us to Nayapul. Approximately 5 hours trek-today would bring us to Nayapul. From here we drive for about 1 hour back to Pokhara and here our trek ends. So we can enjoy our day and relax in a lakeshore restaurant in Lakeside. Stay overnight at Pokhara.
Day 9 : Drive to Kathmandu (1400m) By Tourist Bus; Evening Farewell Dinner
Today you will drive on the snaky Prithivi Highway to Kathmandu in a tourist coach. Witnessing the rural landscapes dominated by lush vegetation and rushing rivers is full of fun throughout the drive. The rural culture is also a fascinating reward of the ride. 200 kilometers of ride that takes seven full hours will finally bring you to Kathmandu. On your arrival to Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. In the evening, you are invited to a cultural restaurant for the farewell dinner.
Day 10 : Depart Kathmandu (1400m)
As per your flight schedule, you will drive with our representative to the airport in a private vehicle. Have a safe flight and visit Nepal time and again.
