Package Overview

At the end of each trekking season – March to May and September to November – Mountain Delights has been organizing a “clean up trek” taking like-minded trekkers in this area. With the assistance of our office staffs: guides, and helpers, you will join to collect rubbish along the trail during your walk enjoying the majestic scenery.

All trashes specifically tissue papers, plastics, tins, and glasses would be collected from alongside the walking tracks and then disposed correctly. Items to be recycled will be transported back to Kathmandu.

As many trekkers use these tracks annually and problem of trashes ever increasing, we have started some communication with tea house owners along the way to provide knowledge on waste disposals.

So, if you would like to join us on cleaning trek to help clean up some of the densely trekked areas in Nepal – please contact us.

In this trekking trip you not only experience a famous trek in Nepal with enchanting scenery and beauty, but you will be helping to clean environment. And communicate cross-cultural ideas about the disposal of rubbish along with setting an example to others of being more aware of the awesome environment.

Ghorepani cleaning trek offers some of the most stunning views of the Himalayan peaks including: Annapurna massif’s Annapurna I (8,091 m/ 26,545 ft), Annapurna South (7,219 m/ 23,684 ft), Dhaulagiri Range’s Dhaulagiri I (8,167 m /26,795 ft), Dhaulagiri II (7,751m/ 25,430ft), Dhaulagiri III (7,715 m/ 25,311ft); and others such as Himchuli (6,441 m/ 21,131 ft) and Machapuchhre (6,993 m/ 22,942 ft).

The site is peaceful and culturally full with intermixed influence of Tibetan and Sherpa roots.
