Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : NAIROBI – MASAI MARA GAME RESRVE

  Arrive Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi – Kenya. After clearing the Immigration and Customs you shall meet our English Speaking Driver cum Guide and proceed directly to Masai Mara Game Reserve with your packed lunch. Drive through the lower scenic Mau escarpment road into the Rift Valley to the 1792 square, kilometre Masai Mara National Reserve to arrive in time for lunch. The afternoon is spent on a game drive. This reserve has hilly savanna, rolling rasslands, gallery forest on the Mara River and its tributaries. The ‘big five’ are positively represented here. The large predators are the lion, leopard and cheetah. The smaller predators are the hyena and jackal. The large herbivores are the elephant, rhino, Burchell’s zebra, hippo, buffalo and giraffe. The smaller herbivores are the antelope and bucks. The Maasai ostrich, the world’s largest bird is found in the park. Enroute the game drive and check into the lodge or luxury standard tented camp. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge or luxury standard tented camp.

• Day 2 : MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

  Game drive before breakfast After breakfast proceed for the visit to Hippo Pool enrouting the game drive viewing and exploration in this part of the Northern Serengeti Ecosystem where the great wildebeest migration takes place. Months before the actual migration the herds ‘assemble’ in Serengeti in readiness for the crossing into Masai Mara. The plain is literally covered with these animals. Grunts and other animal sounds are heard, and territorial fights are commonplace. The migration, now declared the Seventh Wonder of the World takes place from end June to beginning September. Lunch at the lodge. Afternoon proceed for game drive. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. TAKE AN OPTIONAL BALLOON SAFARI WITH CHAMPANGE BREAKFAST, ENROUTE THE GAME DRIVE AND RETURN TO THE LODGE. ( BALLOON SAFARI NOT INCLUDED IN THE COST) LEISURE.

• Day 3 : MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE – LAKE NAKURU NAITONAL PARK

  After breakfast from the lodge. Depart for Lake Nakuru Lunch at the lodge. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

• Day 4 : LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK - ABERDARE NATIONAL PARK

  After breakfast depart for Tree Hotel drive via the 73m.cascading Thompson’s Falls (now Nyahururu) route. to arrive at the base hotel Aberdare Country Club in time for lunch. After lunch proceed to the Ark where the afternoon is spent watching the stream of animals arrive at the floodlit waterhole and saltlick. As the afternoon progresses the area is full of animals, jostling and shoving to get a place at the waterhole. The smaller animals arrive first, perhaps because they are at a disadvantage after larger animals come along. They also leave early. The biggest bullies are the elephants, who drink, splash themselves with water through their trunks and then proceed to have a mud bath. The rhino comes to drink later, so that they miss the elephants which take particular pleasure in annoying the rhino.As the evening progresses the weather cools and wood fires are lit, and the attentive staff keeps the tourist supplied with hot tea, coffee and chocolate, along with bitings. Dinner is served in the rustic dinning room. An attendant will inform the visitor if an animal like the shy bongo, rhino or a species of rare animal appears at the waterhole.One can leave instructions to be woken up if a rare animal comes to the waterhole at night or one can just spend the night watching the animals at the waterhole from the lounge .You are required to pack overnight bag.

• Day 5 : ABERDARE NATIONAL PARK – OL PEJATA RANCH

  After breakfast depart for Ol Pejata Ranch. Ol Pejeta is the largest black rhino sanctuary in east Africa, and home to three of the world’s last remaining northern white rhino. It is the only place in Kenya to see chimpanzees, in a Sanctuary established to rehabilitate animals rescued from the black market. It has some of the highest predator densities in Kenya. Arrive to the lodge. Lunch at the lodge. Afternoon proceed for the game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

• Day 6 : OL PEJATA RANCH TO SAMBURU NATIONAL PARK

  After breakfast depart for Samburu National Park. North of Mt Kenya is the remote Samburu National Park. It is often regarded by travellers and guides in Kenya as the best of Kenya’s national parks. The drive from the foothills of Mt Kenya treats the traveller to an unusual spectacle of green bush and forest on one side and a desert landscape on the other. Like in all of Kenya’s national parks there is no shortage of game here and there are frequent sightings of all of the big cats, as well as all of Kenya’s plains game. Samburu is also home to the specific northern species including the reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, vulturine guinea fowl & the grevys zebra. Visitors will also be privileged to see the red-robed Samburu tribesmen bringing their cattle down to the river to drink. The lives of the Samburu, like the Masai, are centered on their livestock, which are their traditional means of survival. After initiation, boys become 'morans' and it becomes their duty to protect both the humans and the livestock from predators. Lunch at the lodge. Afternoon game drive. Return to the lodge for dinner and overstay.

  Game drive before breakfast. Breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast proceed for game drive. Lunch at the lodge. Afternoon game drive. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
