About Goa
Goa is the smallest state in India. And one of the tourism in India, Goa remains one of the favorite tourist destination for millions across the globe. Bordered by the Arabian Sea on its west, Goa is blessed in terms of topographical beauty. The state of Goa is divided into two districts North Goa and South Goa its neighbouring states Maharastra and Karnataka.

Goa is located on the South Western part of India. It is the smallest state in India Since Goa lies in the tropical zone and is also bordered by the Arabian Sea on the West It was in 1962 that Goa attained freedom from the Portuguese and in 1987 it was pronounced an independent state in India.

Capital of Goa
Panjim is the state capital of Goa and is popularly known as the seat of the Government. Panjim is located on the south bank of the wide Mandovi River and is one of India's smallest state capitals. It is the place where the first medical school of India was established. The Goa Medical College established in 1842 was also one of the oldest medical colleges in Asia, built by the Portuguese.

There is a church in the village of Oxel known as the Our Lady of Sea church that was built in 1899. The people of Oxel celebrate many Christian festivals such as the Sao Joao feast that is celebrated on 24th June, then on 29th June the Sangodd and also the church feast. The Hindus in the village of Oxel also celebrate their various festivals such as in December in the Zetrapal temple they celebrate the zatra along with the dancers of the temple, they also celebrate Shigmo and in December, February, May and August they also celebrate the Kalika Temple Zatra.

Main Cities Of Goa
Vasco Da Gama : VASCO-DA-GAMA is a city in the state of Goa on the west coast of India. It is named after the Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama. It is also the headquarters of the Mormugao taluka. 30 kilometers (19mi) from Panjim, Goa's capital, and about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from Dabolim Airport

PONDA PONDA is known as Fonda located in north goa.Ponda lies 29 kilometres (18mi) southeast of Panaji, the capital of Goa.

Mapusa : MAPUSA is a town in North Goa. It is situated 13km north of the capital Panaji. The town is the headquarters of Bardez Taluka. It is located on the main highway NH-17, linking Mumbai to Kochi. In Portuguese the town's name is spelt Mapuca.

Margoan : MARGAO Margao is the second largest city by population, and the commercial and cultural capital of the Indian state of Goa. Margão is located approximately 33 kilometres (21mi) from the capital Panjim, and 27 kilometres (17mi) fromVasco da Gama.

Climate
WINTER : The months November to Januay are the most pleasant with average maximum hovering around 32° Celsius and minimum staying close to 17° Celsius. The weather at this time is wonderful with rain being a distant memory, and the seas are calm and clear.

SUMMER : This season extend from March to May and can be a bit uncomfortable with average temperature ranging between 25° Celsius to 35° Celsius. In April, the weather becomes hot and humid, shacks shut down and beaches slowly empty out.

MONSOON : June to September is a good time to celebrate and enjoy parties, which are held to welcome the rains. The countryside turns lush green almost overnight right at the onset of monsoon.


How to reach
Goa has daily flights, to and fro, from many cities including New Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai and Cochin. Goa also has regular train services and frequent buses from Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Mangalore and other cities.

Best Time To Visit Goa
The best time to visit this land of enchanting beaches is November to February. Monsoon is not a good time to visit Goa as high tide prevails in the sea and shacks remain closed. Although monsoon season can be quite a treat for those who enjoy peace and rain.

Miramar Beach: is situated 1 kilometer ahead of the confluence of Mandovi River and the Arabian Sea. It is situated on the way towards Dona Paula, about 3 kilometers from Panjim, the capital city of Goa. MiramarBeach of Goa is also known as 'Gasper Dias'. It is a golden beach fringed with palm trees. The soft sands of the beach makes it the best site for evening walks. Baga Beach: an paradise of scenic charm, is famous for its mesmerizing beaches all over the world. With glistening sands, sky-high coconut trees, majestic sea waves and delectable sea food, yet as we think of Goa the first name that comes to the mind is the super-adventurous Baga Beach. Majorda Beach: is situated in the southern part of Bogmola. It is one of the marvelous beaches in Goa that is located about 18 kilometers from Dabolim Airport. Marjorda Beach in Goa is connected to Margao with an excellent network of roadways, including buses, auto rickshaws and taxis. It is one of the most popularbeaches of Goa. It is also said that Lord Rama came to the beach in search of his wife, Sita.

Mobor Beach: is an ideal location for the adventure tourists. It is one of the most popular beaches in Goa, which enables the tourists to indulge in adventure sports such as water skiing, water surfing, jet ski, banana and bump rides and parasailing. the best months to visit Mobor Beach of Goa is between the months of September and March.

  • Day 2 : North Goa Tour

    Breakfast at Residency. Depart for North Goa Tour at 9.30am Ex-Panaji/Miramar. Places covered: Coco beach, Fort Aguada, Mayem lake boating and lunch halt at Mayem Lake view, Vagator Beach ,Anjuna Beach,Calangute Beach. 1 Hour River Cruise. Back to Residency. Depart for North Goa Tour at 9.30am Ex-Margao/Colva. Places covered: Mahalasa Temple Verna, Abyssis Aquarium, Coco beach, Calangute, Fort Aguada lunch halt at Calangute Annexe,Calangute beach, Handicraft emporium Panaji. 1 Hour River Cruise. Back to Residency.

  • Day 3 : South Goa Tour

    Breakfast at Residency Depart for South Goa Tour at 9.30am. Places covered: Includes a visit to Heritage Monuments like Churches at Old Goa which include, Basilica of Bom Jesus wherein lie the mortal remains of St Francis Xavier, on to the magnificent Se Cathedral, which houses the famous Golden Bell. You will be given choice to visit Museum of Christian Art, Old Goa, 5 minutes walking distance from the Basilica. Next proceed to the temples of Mangueshi – dedicated to Shiva & Shanta Durga Temple, Kavle dedicated to the Goddess of Peace. After the temples visit Ancestral Goa at Loutolim which is a “mock village” open air museum depicting traditional Goan village life, through art. After lunch at Colva Beach visit Dona Paula Bay and the lovely Miramar Beach. Drop Back to Residency.

  • Day 4 : Check out (12.00 noon)
