Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Cochin

  Arrive at Cochin. Overnight at Cochin.
• Day 2 : Cochin

  Cochin a former Portuguese and Dutch counter. The city is renowned for its bay and the show made its great fishing nets (known Chinese squares). Providing your room at noon. Explore the old town: St. Francis church and the synagogue founded in 1568 famous for its blue tiles (closed Fridays and Saturdays). Continue to Mattanchery Palace or "Dutch Palace", which has magnificent murals.

• Day 3 : Cochin

  Discovery of the typical streets of this small town full of charm day. You can also take the ferry to the islands nearby, or in the modern, commercial city. In the evening you can attend a Kathakali performance, costume drama, song and dance, with themes drawn from the great Indian epics.

• Day 4 : Cochin / Periyar

  Road to the Periyar National Park (5h) spread over 777 sq km, where you will discover the beautiful mountainous scenery of spice plantations (pepper, nutmeg, cardamom) and tea fields. In this beautiful setting, you can see deer, monkeys and beautiful birds.
• Day 5 : Periyar

  Early departure for a walk in the park for wildlife viewing. The afternoon is by boat on the lake that you can discover the flora and fauna. This is the best way to observe wild elephants or buffalo that come to drink. If you wish, you can participate in the integrated night walk in the protection program of the tiger reserve area established by the local authorities. This trek can be done at any time between 19h and 04h. There are many on-site activities, or to book in advance with our reception.
• Day 6 : Periyar / Kumarakom

  Road through tea and rubber plantations to the magical region of backwaters (4h). Installation on a "houseboat" traditional sampan to explore Kerala in the maze of fascinating canals that weave between land and sea. Navigation Stopping to visit villages, temples and walk in the rice fields where time seems screeching halt. Lunch, dinner and overnight on board.
• Day 7 : Kumarakom / Mararikulam

  Transfer beachfront to the long sandy beach of Mararikulam (1 hour) and free day to relax.
• Day 8 : Mararikulam / Cochin / Departure Cochin

  Second free day by the sea before your transfer to the airport of Cochin to board onward destination flight.
