Package Overview

Gokyo Renjo La Pass trek is the most adventurous and newly open high pass trekking in the legendary Khumbu region of Nepal. This trekking route offers an alternative to the classic and traditional Everest base camp trek taking through the Gokyo lake valley up to high pass of Renjo La at 5,300 meter. Gokyo Renjo La Pass trek offers you the most spectacular view of Mt. Everest and Mt. Cho Oyu and many more and opportunity to explore the biggest glaciers, the caravan style business, Sherpa people and their typical culture and traditions, entire beauty of the region.

This trek starts from Pakding and takes you all the way through the Everest base camp trekking trail following the ups and downs of the trail cutting the valleys, dropping down the through the steep Dudh koshi valley and again climbing up, in to the beautiful Sherpa villages passing one by one Sete to Junbeshi, Junbeshi to the famous Sherpa village of solu, from solu to Nuntala – Pakding up to Namche bazaar - where we take a day rest as a day assimilating our self. Tibetan walk all the way down to Namche to sell their home made stuffs and salt to trade. You can also observe Ngozumpa Glacier which is the largest glacier in the Nepal Himalaya and, from a ridge above Gokyo valley you can observe four 8000-meter peaks (Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu) and many more. The fabulous ice edge lying between Cho Oyu and Gyachung Kang (7922m) is one of the most striking views in Khumbu. This trekking trail is more isolated then the base camp trek.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival

  Kathmandu (Arrival day and Transfer to hotel) - 1340M
• Day 2 : Sightseeing

  Full Day sightseeing of KTM Durbar Square, Swoyambhunath, Boudhanath & Pashupatinath - Hotel
• Day 3 : Lukla

  We Fly to Lukla (2840M) from Kathmandu & Trek to Pakding (2800M). This will take Approx.4 hrs of walk. Overnight at Lodge
• Day 4 : Namche Bazaar

  We trek to Namche Bazaar (3440M). This will take Approx- 6 hrs of walk. Overnight at Lodge
• Day 5 : Syangaboche

  We Trek to Syangaboche. We take a day Rest Acclimatizing our self. We trek back to Namche Bazaar. This will take approx 3 hrs of continuous walk. Overnight at Lodge
• Day 6 : Portse Tanga

  We Trek to Portse Tanga (3790M). This will take Approx 4/5 hrs walk. Overnight at Lodge
• Day 7 : Machhermo

  We Trek to Machhermo (4470M). This will take Approx 5 hrs walk. Overnight at Lodge
• Day 8 : Gokyo RI

  We trek to Gokyo RI (4750M). This will take Approx 4 hrs walk. This will take Approx 5 hrs walk
• Day 9 : Gokyo Peak

  Trek to Gokyo Peak (5463M) and Back to Gokyo Ri- explore fifth lake and Cho Oyu base camp back to Gokyo Lodges

  • Meals & Drinks Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
• Day 10 : Renjo La Pass

  We Trek over Renjo la pass (5300M) & Luyangden. This will take Approx 6/7 hrs day.
• Day 11 : Thame

  We Trek to Thame. This will take Approx 5 hrs walk.
• Day 12 : Khumjung or Namche

  We Trek to Khumjung or Namche for Approx 3 hrs. Overnight at Lodge

  • Meals & Drinks Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
• Day 13 : Monju or Pakding

  We Trek to Monju or Pakding (2800M). This will take Approx 5/6 hrs of walk
• Day 14 : Lukla

  We Trek back to Lukla for 5 hrs. Overnight at lodge

  • Meals & Drinks Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
• Day 15 : Kathmandu

  We Fly to Kathmandu & Transfer to hotel, relax day after Long Trip- Hotel

  • Meals & Drinks Breakfast,
• Day 16 : Reserve Day

  Reserve day (Incase flight cancelled due to Bad weather).
• Day 17 : Departure

  Departure to Airport and Back to Home.
