Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Vancouver, British Columbia to Whistler

  Press nose to window as you vacate Vancouver via the ever-so-pretty Stanley Park. Then it's along the scenic Sea to Sky Highway with the picture-perfect views of the mountains and coast below. After dinner, the Whistler nightlife will be waiting for you.

• Day 2 : Whistler

  Welcome to the holy grail of ski resorts. Planker (skier), brain box (helmet) wearing snowboarder or complete beginner, you've got two days to show the slopes who's boss.

• Day 3 : Whistler

  There's a peak-to-peak gondola that'll give you views of volcanic peaks and coastal rainforest. You might just spot one of the 60 brown bears that call Whistler home. Then there's the après-ski. Whistler has one of North America's best après bars and loads of live music on offer. When you're ready to wind-down, there are shops, cafes and galleries too.

• Day 4 : Whistler to Kelowna

  From white, we go green with a scenic route through Fraser Valley, before climbing the Coquihalla Pass and dropping into British Columbia's biggest wine region, Kelowna. Meaning “grizzly bear” in Salish, Kelowna is the largest city in BC's Okanagan Valley and is often considered one of the most livable cities in Canada.

• Day 5 : Kelowna

  Big White is a big deal, it's the highest peak in the Okanagan Highland, with Western Canada's largest night skiing area. There are snowmobile tours, tubing and ice skating, not to mention the 750cm of annual snowfall for skiing and snowboarding. And if the Kelowna Rockets ice hockey team are playing, there's the chance to see them take to their skates.

• Day 6 : Kelowna

  Need a break from the slopes? Channel your inner ice princess (or Chazz Michael Michaels) on the blades today with a round of optional ice skating. If you'd rather feel the wind in your hair on a cross-country jaunt, hire yourself a snowmobile to soak up the alpine vistas. You won't regret it. Either way, this free day is yours for the taking.

• Day 7 : Kelowna

  Time to leave Big White behind for Banff, but first straddle the Continental Divide as you saddle up for Kicking Horse Pass. It's high, it's picturesque, and it takes you to Lake Louise for a pitstop. Think cobalt blue waters and soaring, glacier-clad peaks and you'll be somewhere close. If you're game, there's ice skating afoot.

• Day 8 : Banff

  Banff is National Geographic on steroids, it's picture perfect in every way and great for a free day. If you're new to pounding the powder, you can take a lesson and if you're already ready to ride, you've got three world-class ski hills to pick from and 8,000 acres of snow to ski. Then again, you could get some canine friends to do the hard work and see Banff by dogsled.

• Day 9 : Banff

  Wake up and prepare your eyes for even more amazingness. Today's yours to do as you wish. Hit the slopes for the next round of shredding, find your feet with an ice walk, or follow the cave and basin trail. The possibilities are endless. Or, you could simply rest up before tonight's farewell dinner and trip to the hot springs. Win win.

• Day 10 : Banff or Calgary

  After breakfast, take your last look at the Rocky Mountain-dominated skyline and put away your thermals, the time has come to bid farewell to your crew. You might just get to take one last trip with new-found friends if you're heading to Calgary airport. The optional shuttle bus is on hand if you need it.
