Day 1 : Athens
Arrival at Athens International Airport. Meet and greet with our representative and transfer to local restaurant for lunch. Post lunch transfer to the hotel. Check in and in the evening you will proceed to Panoramic Athens City Tour. You'll see the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held in 1896 (short stop). Continue and pass by the Prime Minister's residence (Ex Royal Palace) guarded by the Evzones in their colourful uniform, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian's Arch, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library and the Constitution Square (Syntagma). Then enjoy a dinner at traditional Greek restaurant in the centre of the old city of Athens Back to the hotel. Overnight in Athens.
Day 2 : Acropolis Tour (Parthenon + Museum) – Cape Sounio In The Afternoon
After breakfast we will proceed to a visit to Acropolis site. We will visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens, the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike and finally the beautiful Parthenon. End the tour by visiting the new Acropolis museum where all remaining treasures from the Parthenon and the Golden age of Greece are hosted.
After our guided tour, we will have lunch at local restaurant. Post lunch we will continue for Cape Sounio tour. We will cross the big coast road: we will pass the big cities of Glyfada and Vouliagmeni , till we reach Cape Sounion for visiting the temple of Poseidon.
Returning to Athens by the same route, having dinner at Indian restaurant and transfer back to the hotel.
Day 3 : Epidaurus - Nafplio - Olympia
After breakfast, leaving by the coastal road to the Corinth Canal (short stop).
Drive on and visit the Theatre of Epidaurus, famous for its remarkable acoustics. We will visit and guided in museum and theatre both The Theatre of Epidaurus was built in the 4th century BC by Polykleitos the Younger and thankfully for it remote location much of it is still intact today, never having the pilfering as other ancient sites have had over the millennia. The theatre became over grown and buried, believed to be just a hollow in the side of a hill until it was discovered in the 19th century.
Theatre is 114m (374ft) across and has 35 rows of seats divided into 34 blocks by stairs and walkways. The bottom tier of 12 blocks was the original theatre built in the 4th century BC, the top tier of 21 blocks was built much later during the Roman period.
Then proceed to the town of Nauplion (short photo stop), Orientation tour and lunch at local restauraThen depart for Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games, through Central Peloponnese and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. Check in to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 4 : Olympia - Nafpaktos - Delphi
After breakfast, visiting the Archaeological Site with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium and the Archaeological Museum. The site of Olympia, in a valley in the Peloponnesus, has been inhabited since prehistoric times. In the 10th century B.C., Olympia became a centre for the worship of Zeus. The Altis – the sanctuary to the gods – has one of the highest concentrations of masterpieces from the ancient Greek world. In addition to temples, there are the remains of all the sports structures erected for the Olympic Games, which were held in Olympia every four years beginning in 776 B.C.
Then depart for Nafpaktos, drive on through the plains of Elia and Achaia until the magnificent bridge which is crossing the Corinthian Bay from Rion to Antirion.
Arrival at Nafpaktos, walking in the beautiful port and lunch at local restaurant,Depart for Delphi, arrive at the hotel, check in, dinner and overnight
Day 5 : Delphi - Kalambaka
After breakfast, we will be guided in the centre of Ancient World - the "Omphalos" (Navel of Earth) - whose prestige extended far beyond the boundaries of the Hellenic World. On the slopes of Mount Parnassus, in a landscape of unparalleled beauty and majesty, lie the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios.Visit the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo and the Museum containing such masterpieces of Ancient Greek sculpture as the bronze Charioteer and the famous athlete Aghias. After our guided tour, free time in the village of Delphi for walking, shopping and lunch. Early in the afternoon we will depart for the town of Kalambaka , passing through picturesque villages and big towns of Central Greece. Dinner at the hotel and overnight.
Day 6 : Meteora - Athens
After breakfast, we will visit the Meteora monasteries, among striking scenery, perched on top of huge rocks which seem to be suspended in mid-air, stand ageless Monasteries, where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art.
After lunch, return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (short stop to see across the road the Leonida's Monument). Arrive in Athens early in the evening, check in to the hotel, dinner at Indian restaurant and overnight.
Day 7 : Athens - Airport
After breakfast, check out and then transfer to Athens Airport for your International flight.
