Hemkud Sahib is a sacred place for Sikh devotees & Hindus and is considered the fifth Dham of Uttarakhand. Like every Hindu wants to do the Chardham yatra at least once in his whole life, similarly, every Sikh follower wants to do the Hemkund yatra at least once. The journey of this Hemkund Sahib package is 6 days long and starts from Rishikesh. From Rishikesh, you have a drive to Joshimath and Govindghat. Govindghat is the place from where you have to start the trek to Ghangaria which is the base camp for Hemkund Sahib. Start the trek to Hemkund Sahib early in the morning and after darshan come back to the Ghagharia base. Ghagharia does not have such a high class of facilities, so accommodation and hotels in Hemkund Sahib belong to budget and deluxe categories only.
Day 1 : Haridwar - Auli(Drive- 270 km/08 hrs)
Pick up from Haridwar and drive to Auli via Rishikesh, Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, Nandaprayag & Joshimath. Overnight stay in the hotel at Auli.
Day 2 : Auli – Govindghat (Drive- 25 km/01 hrs)
Govindghat - Pulna(Local Jeep hire) | Pulna - Ghangaria Trek (10 km trek)
Early morning after having breakfast drive to Govindghat. Take a local vehicle from Govindghat to Pulna, on arrival start the trek to Ghangaria from Pulna. The trail of Ghangaria is usually crowded with the pilgrims of Hemkund Sahib. The entire trail is alongside the trees, small waterfalls, and springs. Indulge yourself in salubrious surroundings & nature bounties. On arrival overnight stay in hotel/guest house at Ghangaria.
Day 3 : Ghangaria - Hemkund - Ghangaria (Trek- 6 km /4 hrs -one way)
Early in the morning start trekking (6 Km) to reach "HEMKUND SAHIB", one of the most revered of all Sikh Shrines. It is also the World's Highest Gurudwara, situated at an altitude of 4,329mts. The Hemkund Sahib Lake remains frozen for six months so you can easily walk around to the other side! There is also a Lakshman temple built on the bank of the lake. Encircled by seven snow-clad peaks and their associated glaciers, it reflects its surroundings enchantingly on its crystal clear serene waters. This is a sight not to be missed! The glaciers from Hathi Parvat and Saptrishi peaks feed the lake and a small stream called Himganga flows out of this lake. For the history lovers, according to religious texts, Guru Govind Singh, the tenth Guru of the Sikh faith had meditated on the bank of this lake in one of his earlier births. In the afternoon, trek back down to reach Ghangria for an overnight stay. The evening is free for rest & relaxation.
Day 4 : Ghangaria - Pulna (14 km trek) | Pulna - Govindghat ( Local Jeep hire)
Govindghat – Joshimath (Drive- 35 km/02 hrs)
After early breakfast starts the trek back to Pulna. On arrival start to drive to Govindghat from the local vehicle. You will provide a transfer to Joshimath for an overnight stay.
Day 5 : Joshimath - Haridwar (Drive- 300 km/10 hrs)
Today is the last day of the valley of flower tour. After having breakfast drive to Haridwar. The tour ends with beautiful memories.
