Guwahati - Shillong - Cherrapunjee - Mawlynnong Tour

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Guwahati - Shillong 90 kms, 3 hrs

  Start the journey with your arrival at the Guwahati station/airport, get greeted and straight away get transferred to Shillong. It takes around 3 hours to reach this gorgeous hill station, Shillong. On the way, drop by the Borapani Lake in the state of Meghalaya, also known as the Umiam lake, it is beautifully surrounded by Sylvan hills. After that our journey comes to one of the most romantic place in Shilong, the Ward’s Lake, located in the heart of the city which was built by the British councils and is a prominent hang-out place in Meghalaya. Then we visit the Cathedral Catholic Church which attracts thousands of devotees. After that check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure and later retire for the night. • Day 2 : Shillong - Dawki 107 Kms, 3 hrs

  In the morning after the breakfast we will Depart for Dawki. First visit the Mawlynnong/Mawlynnong Village located in the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya, also referred as ‘God’s own garden’ has won the acclaim of being the cleanest village in Asia in 2003. Visit the Living Root Bridge in the nearby village of Rawai. The village also offers a sight of natural balancing rock, a strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. From Mawlynnong one can see the Indo-Bangladesh Border. Overnight stay at Mawlynnong. Then head for Dawki, on reaching have lunch and after that we will do some adventure activities. Dinner will be served after 7 pm. Overnight stay at Dawki in Camp. Attractions: - Mawlynnong Village - Living Root Bridge - Umngot River
• Day 3 : Dawki - Cherrapuni 30 Kms, 1 Hrs

  In the morning after breakfast get ready to do some thrilling activities like Scuba Diving, Kayaking, Zip lining. Post lunch head for Cherrapunji. Overnight stay at Cherrapunji Attractions: - Adventure Activities

• Day 4 : Double Decker Root Bridge Trek

  Double Decker Root Bridge, Maghalaya’s most famous root bridge can be found in the vicinity of the wettest place Cherrapunji. Today we will trek down to one of the miraculous place in Meghalaya, the Living Root Bridge. The bridge is situated downhill to the Village, Umshiang and can only be reached by walking down the hill. Though the journey to the bridge is exhausting but it’s worth it when you reach the place. It will take us 4-5 five hours to take round trip of the bridge. After the determined journey we will head back to our hotel and overnight stay at Cherrapunji. Attractions: - Double Decker Root Bridge
• Day 5 : Cherrapunji - Shillong 65 kms, 2 hrs

  After breakfast, set off for Cherrapunji, well known for receiving one of the highest rainfall in the world. Cherrapunjee is locally known as Sohra and is situated at a distance of 56 kms from Shillong. On the way is the Mawkdok Valley which is a very prominent sightseeing for tourists. Then on the way we visit the Nohsngithiang falls Seven sister falls which is known to be the symbol of the Unity of the Seven States of North East India. Later than we visit the Mawsmai cave, a major crowd puller that leaves tourists spellbound. After trekking in the majestic cave we move for Eco Park, which hosts several hybrid and indigenous orchids. It also offers a breathtaking view of distant Sylhet Plains of neighboring Bangladesh. After that we will be visiting the Shillong peak, located in the upper Shillong from where one can see the beauty of Shillong city under the clouds giving a perfect picturesque view of the city. After a while we head to the Elephanta falls, the water of this three steps falls comes down in flows from different levels over the fern-covered rocks and falls into the canyon down below. Overnight stay at Shillong. Attractions: - Shillong peak, - Elephanta Falls, - Mawkdok Valley, - Nohsngithiang Seven sisters, - Mawsmai Cave, - Eco Park.

• Day 6 : Shillong - Guwahati 90 Kms, 3 Hrs

  In the morning after the breakfast we will visit The Laitlum Canyons, Nestled in the embrace of majestic hills and valleys, in one such spot from where the vast, verdant and fascinating panorama of Meghalaya could be viewed and admired. Then depart for guwahati where we will drop you to the Airport/Railway Station where our journey comes to an end. Attractions: - Laitlum Canyons End of Tour & Services
