Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Guwahati to Shillong - 105 kms; Drive time: 4 hours

  Pickup from Guwahati Airport / Railway Station and drive to Shillong. In the afternoon visit Ward's Lake or relax at Lady Hydari Park. In the evening walk around Police bazaar. Over night stay at Shillong.

• Day 2 : Excursion - 60 Kms; Drive Time: 2 Hours

  After breakfast drive to Mawlynnong, the cleanest village in Asia. The drive itself is very scenic providing views of the Meghalayan plateau. Walk through the picture postcard paths of the village, which overlooks Bangladesh. You can also take a short walk to the neighbouring village of Riwai where there is a small root bridge made from the roots of the Indian Rubber tree. Drive back to Shillong. O/n at Shillong.

• Day 3 : Cherrapunjee Excursion - 60 Kms; Drive Time: 2 Hours

  Today you will drive to Cherrapunjee for a full day excursion. Visit the Mawsmai caves, Nohkalikai falls and the Ramakrishna Mission museum. Drive back to Shillong and further onto Umiam lake. O/n at Umiam.

• Day 4 : Umiam to Kaziranga - 265 Kms; Drive Time 7 Hours

  Enjoy a leisurely morning at Umiam lake after which you will drive to Kaziranga. O/n at Kaziranga.

• Day 5 : Kaziranga

  Kaziranga National Park has three main ranges where tourists are allowed; the Western Range - Bagori, the Central Range - Kohra, and the Eastern range - Panbari. In the morning go for an elephant safari in the Central range of the park followed by a jeep safari. Post lunch go for a gypsy safari in the Western range which has a high density of Wild Buffalos, Rhinos and Swamp Deer. O/n at Kaziranga.

  • Themes : Jeep Safari, Elephant Safari

• Day 6 : Kaziranga to Guwahati - 225 Kms; Drive Time: 5 Hours

  In the morning go for an elephant safari in the Western Range of the park . Have an early lunch and leave for Guwahati. Drop to your hotel in Guwahati. O/n at Guwahati.

  • Themes : Elephant Safari

• Day 7 : Guwahati Excursion

  After breakfast visit to Kamakhaya temple, Umananda temple, Basistha Ashram, State Zoo, Sankardev Kalakhetra, evening river cruse at Brahmaputra River & free for Shopping. O/n at Guwahati.

  • Hotspots : Umananda Temple, Brahmaputra River

• Day 8 : End

  Drop at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station. Tour Ends.
