Kashmir is home to some of the highest and most beautiful parts of the Himalayas. It is necessary to dispel a doubt here that the entire Kashmir is not violent or affected by the insurgency. The state of Jammu and Kashmir is comprised of three major parts; the largely Hindu Jammu, a Buddhist dominated Laddakh and the Muslim majority Kashmir valley. Laddakh is almost unaffected by the violent disturbances of Kashmir valley. Jammu is comparatively safer and Kashmir valley is getting better day by day; so you can travel to any part of the state including the Kashmir valley without any worries, if the security situation is normal over there. The most beautiful city in the entire Kashmir valley is Srinagar. The scenic views of the valley vary according to the location you are at. The mountain peaks look heavenly from a distance, the sunlight and the clouds appear to be out of this world and deep blue sky makes us feel at peace and rejuvenated. Srinagar is also called the city of lakes. It is famous for enchanting Dal Lake, HazratBal shrine (Dargah) and the Mughal Gardens referred to as Shalimar Bagh and Nishat Bagh. Pahelgam is another beautiful valley with a wildlife sanctuary, ropeways and wonderful tracking routes. Gulmarg is known for its exemplary scenic beauty, ski resorts and the highest golf course in the world.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive JAMMU – DRIVE TO KATRA

  Arrive Jammu, where you will be met upon arrival and transferred to Katra. Evening is free for leisure activities. Overnight at the Hotel in Katra.

• Day 2 : KATRA – VAISHNODEVI – KATRA

  Today after early breakfast, proceed for visit to Mata Vaishnodevi Shrine. You may opt for Helicopter ride to reach top of the mountain. Evening return back to Hotel. Overnight at Hotel in Katra.

• Day 3 : KATRA – PAHALGAM (06-07 Hours One Way )

  Today after breakfast drive to Pahalgam, the Valley of Shepherds. Drive through saffron fields; visit Awantipura ruins of 1100 yrs old temple of Lord Vishnu. Drive through the pine forests and along the Lidder River. Afternoon free for individual activities. Overnight at the Hotel in Pahalgam.

  Today after breakfast, proceed for Pahalgam Local Sightseeing. Visit Aru Valley, Chandanwadi and Betaab Valley ( Local Non AC Vehicles will be used ). Evening is free for PAHALGAM LOCAL SIGHTSEEING leisure activities. Overnight at Hotel in Pahalgam

  Today after breakfast, Check out from Pahalgam Hotel and Proceed for Srinagar. On Arrival at Srinagar, Check in to your Hotel. After words enjoy a city tour of Srinagar visiting the famous Mughal Gardens on the banks of Dal Lake. Nishat Bagh (Abodeof pleasure), built in 1632 AD, Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love) built by Jehangir for his wife empress Noor Jehan. Enroute visit a carpet weaving factory and Shankracharya Temple. • Day 6 : SRINAGAR – SONAMARG - SRINAGAR ( 03½ Hours One Way )

  Today After Breakfast, Proceed for Full Day Excursion to Sonamar. Situated at an altitude of 2730 m, Sonamarg ('The meadow of gold') has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. Afternoon visit Thajiwas glacier, a major local attraction during the summer months. Evening return back to Srinagar. Overnight at the Hotel in Srinagar.

• Day 7 : SRINAGAR – GULMARG (02 Hours One Way )

  Today after breakfast check out from Houseboat and drive to Gulmarg, Meadow of Flowers, 2730 mts.above sea level with delightful ski slopes and the highest 18-hole golf course of the world. Enjoy a Gondola ride to Kangpori, and enjoy the view of Nanga Parbat. Evening is free for leisure activities. Overnight at the Hotel in Gulmarg.
