Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Abroad - Delhi

  Arrive at New Delhi International airport. On arrival at Indira Gandhi International airport, you will be transferred to Pre-booked hotel.
  Rest and relax at hotel. Overnight at hotel.
  
  Delhi, capital city of the Federal Republic of India. It is one of India's fastest growing cities. It has sprawled over the West Bank of the river Yamuna, straddling the river. Delhi blends an historic past and a vibrant present. Delhi has some of the finest museums in the country. New Delhi was proclaimed the capital of India by the British architect Sir Edwin Lutyens (1869-1944) & is tree-lined & spacious. Legend has it that the Pandavas, the august heroes of the epic Mahabharata, originally founded Delhi, then called Indraprastha, around 1200 B.C. Present day Delhi is built around the ruins of seven ancient cities

• Day 2 : Delhi - Sariska

  Morning drive to Sariska (approximately 3:30 hrs. /185 kms). Upon arrival, check-in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.
  Sariska Palace – was built by Maharaja Jai Singh of Alwar, as his royal hunting lodge or Palace de Nature. Silhouetted against the nurturing arms of the Aravali range, this legacy of Maharaja, now a heritage hotel, is located right inside the Tiger Reserve. Afternoon, jeep drive to the Sariska sanctuary to view wildlife. Set among valleys, hills and deep forests that change colour with the seasons. It is the home to an exotic variety of wild animals and beautiful birds. Here, herds of golden deer dart and pirouette gracefully, playing hide and seek with their shadow, and the big wild cat, the tiger, roams free.

• Day 3 : Sariska - Kuchaman

  Early morning jeep drive to the Sariska sanctuary to view wildlife. Set among valleys, hills and deep forests that change colour with the seasons. It is the home to an exotic variety of wild animals and beautiful birds. Here, herds of golden deer dart and pirouette gracefully, playing hide and seek with their shadow, and the big wild cat, the tiger, roams free. Thereafter drive to Kuchaman (200 kms). Upon arrival, check-in at hotel.
  
  Kuchaman City is a city and a municipality in Nagaur district in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The city includes a few Havelis in the Shekhawati style and a fort overlooking the city. The fort is about 1100 years old and was built in the 9th century, by the [Rathore] ruler, Zalim Singh. One can also find fresco painting here on variable subjects such as flowers, motifs, and Hindu Mythology.
  
  In 950, the Chauhans of Ajmer drove out the Gurjar Pratihars to open a new chapter in the history of Kuchaman Fort. In the following centuries, the Gaurs won and controlled the fort until they surrendered it to the Rathores. Being Suryavanshi Kshatriyas, who trace their lineage back to Lord Rama, the hero of the epic Ramayana, the Rathores brought to the fort their long view. In 470 AD with Nayal Pals conquest of Kanauj, near modern Kanpur in U.P.
  
  The fort is a major tourist attraction and is also part of the route of Palace on Wheels. A
  few havelis have also opened their doors to the foreign guests, who visit during the winter.
  
  In 2006, part of the Bollywood movie Drona, starring Abhishek Bachchan was shot at Kuchaman Fort.
  
  In 2008, part of the movie Jodha-Akbar starring Hrithik Roshan was shot at Kuchaman Fort.

• Day 4 : Kuchaman - Pushkar

  Morning drive to Pushkar (120 kms). Upon arrival in Pushkar - check into the Hotel. Pushkar is one of the oldest cities of India. The date of its actual founding is not known, but legend associates Brahma with its creation. Pushkar is one of the five sacred dhams (pilgrimage site) for devout Hindus.
  According to Hindu theology, the pond at the Katas Raj temple Near Choa Saidan Shah in Chakwal District of Pakistan has a theological association with Shiva; it was formed by the tears of Lord Shiva which he is believed to have shed after the death of his wife, Sati. The story goes that when Sati died, Shiva cried so much and for so long, that his tears created two holy ponds – one at Pushkara in Ajmer in India and the other at Ketaksha, which literally means raining eyes, in Sanskrit. It is from this name that the word Katas is derived. It is often called "Tirth Raj" – the king of pilgrimage sites – and has in recent years become a popular destination for foreign tourists.
  Pushkar has many temples. Most of the temples are not very old because many temples were destroyed during Muslim conquests in the area. Subsequently, the destroyed temples were rebuilt. The most famous among all is the Brahma Temple built during the 14th century CE. Very few temples to Lord Brahma exist anywhere in the world.
  Pushkar is also famous for its annual fair (Pushkar Camel Fair) held in November.

• Day 5 : Pushkar

  Pushkar Fair is one of the most colorful fairs of India and is one of the major cultural reflectors of the state of Rajasthan.
  
  Besides trading of horses, camels, cows and bulls, there are exciting camel-cart races and cultural events, people from different parts of India gather on the fair ground to participate in the various entertaining events.
  
  The variety of folk dances and songs lend vivid splashes of colour and music to the atmosphere that is already charged with excitement of the camel races and the cattle fair. The bargaining process, which involves a great deal of haggling between the camel traders and the buyers, add to the spirit of the fair. This fair attracts people not only from India but a large number of tourists from other countries as well. Overnight in deluxe tents.

• Day 6 : Pushkar – Ranthambore

  Morning drive to Ranthambore (260 kms). Upon arrival, check-in at hotel.
  
  Ranthambhore, hailed as one of India's finest wildlife locations, It was established as a sanctuary in 1959 and included in the very first phase of Project Tiger in 1972. The park derives its name from the fort of Ranthambhor, which sits on a rocky outcrop in the forest. The fort dates back to the 11th century when it was a vital citadel for the control of central India. Though overrun by vegetation, remnants of the summer palaces, temples and guard stones within the fort still remain. Earlier, the hunting preserve of the Maharajas of Jaipur, the Park at Ranthambhor was once the scene of royal hunting parties. Today, it is famous for its tigers and is one of the best places in the country to see these majestic predators in the wild.
  Ranthambore is the place to see a tiger in its natural habitat. In the dry season tigers can be seen near the watering holes and are clearly visible in the dry forest.

• Day 7 : Ranthambore - Jaipur

  After breakfast drive to Jaipur (170 kms), On arrival in Jaipur – check into the hotel. Rest of the day free. Overnight at hotel.
  JAIPUR, Widely known as the ‘Pink City. This city is color washed pink to welcome Prince Albert, the consort of Queen Victoria of England who visited India in 1883 A.D. The city was founded in 1727 A.D by one of the greatest ruler Jai Singh II. Jaipur is surrounded by hills on three sides, crowned by formidable forts and majestic palaces, mansions and gardens. Jaipur is the only city in the world, which is sub-divided in to nine rectangular sectors symbolizing nine divisions of universe. Jaipur is the first planned city designed in accordance with ‘Shilpa Shastra’- epochal treatise of Hindu architecture.

• Day 8 : Jaipur - Bharatpur

  Morning visit the impressive Amber Fort, situated on a ridge just outside Jaipur City. At the foot of the hill you will mount your caparisoned elephant for the slow but steady climb up to the main gate, making your entrance in the time honoured fashion.
  Bharatpur is a city in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Located in the Brij region, Bharatpur
  was once considered to be an impregnable city and was the capital of the Jat kingdom. The city is situated 55 km west of the city of Agra and 35 km from Mathura. It is also the
  administrative headquarters of Bharatpur District and the headquarters of Bharatpur Division of Rajasthan. The Royal House of Bharatpur traces its history to the eleventh Century AD. Bharatpur has been included as a part of Delhi's National Capital Region

• Day 9 : Bharatpur - Fatehpur Sikri – Agra

  Morning proceed by cycle rickshaws to the famous Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary which is a wonder of the natural world and no less worth seeing than the marble mausoleum of the Taj. Here over 350 species of birds find refuge in the 29 sq kms of shallow lakes & woodlands of the park. A third of them are migrants many of whom winter in Bharatpur before returning to their breeding grounds as far away as Siberia and Central Asia.
  
  Afternoon drive to Agra (56 kms) enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri - The fort was built in the 16th century and only occupied for a few years before being abandoned, leaving the buildings in virtually perfect conditions. Overnight at hotel.
  
  Agra is famous as being home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World-the Taj Mahal. A pleasant town with comparatively slow pace, Agra is known for its superb inlay work on marble and soapstone by craftsmen who are descendant of those who worked under the Mughals. The city is also famous for its carpets, gold thread embroidery and leather shoes. Agra, and the nearby city of Fatehpur Sikri, is conveniently close to Delhi. Besides the Taj Mahal are Agra Fort, Sikandra, Ram Bagh and Itmad-Ud-Daulah-35 kms away are the imperial ruins of the Mughal city, Fatehpur Sikri. Agra is an old city and it is said that its name was derived from Agrabanad, a forest that finds mention in the epic Mahabharata

• Day 10 : Agra - Delhi - Onward Journey

  Early morning visit to witness incomparable Taj Mahal with its’ speculative view at the time of Sunrise. Taj Mahal, the architectural modern day wonder of the world; this monument is a fine example of the fusion of many architectural styles is one of the wonders of the modern world. Taj, endowed it with some of the loveliest buildings in the world. Return to Hotel for breakfast.
  Later visit Agra Fort, designed and built by Akbar in 1565 A.D., built with barricaded wall of red sand stone; it houses the beautiful Pearl Mosque and numerous palaces including the Jahangir Mahal, Diwan-i-Khas, Diwan-i-Am, Macchhi Bhawan, Nagina Masjid, Meena Bazar, Moti Masjid, Sheesh Mahal, Musamman Burj where from Taj Mahal is visible in all its beauty from one side of the fort. So very ironically, Emperor Sahahjahan, prisoner of his son Aurangzeb in his old age was put in a cell from where he could gaze at the Taj Mahal at a distance, from his cell in the fort.   Later drive to Delhi (200 kms). Upon arrival in Delhi – transfer to the airport
