This 7 day tour includes our favorite sites in central and northern Vietnam, from the ancient UNESCO World Heritage Site Hoi An, to bustling Hanoi and a night on a traditional Chinese junk in Halong Bay. The atmospheric streets of Hoi An will transport you back to an earlier era of emperors and palaces and the delicious local delicacies will make it very difficult to leave! Hanoi, with its lakes and bustling Old Quarter, has its own magical charm. Iconic Halong Bay, possibly THE classic image of Vietnam, is best enjoyed on an overnight cruise, ensuring ample time to explore the numerous islands and photogenic karst formations, with swimming and kayaking available depending on the season.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Da Nang

  Arrive in Da Nang, where you will be met by your expert guide and taken to your hotel in Hoi An.
• Day 2 : Hoi An

  Explore the narrow lanes of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Hoi An, a well-preserved former trading port, and learn more about its most famous buildings including the Japanese Covered Bridge, Assembly Hall of the Chinese and Tan Ky's House. In the evening, learn to cook some of Hoi An's unique dishes in an intimate setting, before sitting down to enjoy your creations.

• Day 3 : Da Nang

  In the morning, transfer to Da Nang for your flight to Hanoi, Vietnam's capital. Stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake, considered the city's physical and symbolic center, and witness the daily routines of the residents.

• Day 4 : Old Quarter

  Take in the highlights of the city, including the atmospheric streets of the Old Quarter, Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and the Temple of Literature. In the evening take your seat for the Water Puppet Show at Thang Long Theatre and enjoy the unique folk art that has been practiced and perfected for over 1000 years.

• Day 5 : Red River Delta

  In the morning, drive through the Red River Delta to Ha Long Bay, where your traditional Chinese junk awaits. Enjoy a memorable overnight cruise at one of the most famous natural areas in the world. Float amongst the limestone karsts and islands which dot the area, with swimming and kayaking options available.

• Day 6 : Hanoi

  Welcome the sunrise from the deck before enjoying a fabulous late breakfast/brunch as you continue cruising towards the mainland. Return to your Hanoi hotel and spend the rest of the day doing any last minute shopping or enjoying Hanoi´s famous street food.
